Suddenly, while Lily was preparing to go, the Totodile opened his eyes yet again, causing the Fennekin to yelp, let go of the Totodile, and tripped.

The Totodile, upon opening his eyes, noticed a few things. One, his hand was wet. Two, he couldn't exactly remember that much. He had went to sleep, probably. That wouldn't explain why he was out in some field. And three, probably the most important, he was most certainly no longer a human. The first sign was a tail. He knew that it could happen, but his tail most certainly had a vertabrae. He could move it around, which was an interesting experience. His second sign was the fact that his arm was ridiculously shorter than before and also blue. The third sign was that the thing that he had saw before wasn't just a thing, it was a Pokemon. A Fennekin, to be exact, but Pokemon weren't real, right? He was probably in some weird dream. But, if it were really a dream, he would have recollection of other things, right? His family, his friends... Himself. His appearance? What did he look like again? What was his name? If he was going to be in this world for a bit, he might as well come up with a name for himself. Julian? No. Porter? No. Kyle? Better. Kai. That was it. He liked it more than any other option, and had no other opportunity to think about it. Because right now, he had an instinct. An instinct to scream as loud as he could and find out what was going on. And he followed that instinct. "GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!"

	While Lily dragged the Totodile along, an idea popping into her head. "There should be a town not too far from here! Why don't I take him there?" She started to drag the unconscious Totodile to the nearest town, where she'd, unknowingly, get her and her new companion (whether he liked it or not) into a great adventure. "Hey... hey. Wake up, silly!" Lily prodded the unconscious Totodile again. She had been walking towards some commotion she had heard, when she stumbled across the Totodile. She had been wondered if the Pokemon had been involved with the noises. Then suddenly the Totodile awoke.

The Totodile upon waking up, felt completely sore. And also found that he had absolutely no memory of last night. Or the nights before that... He opened his eyes, and saw a strange creature over him. A female, he thought. Then he heard her speak. "Are you okay?" He hadn't expected that, but he couldn't tell if they could speak or not, so he ignored it. Suddenly, a strange pain washed over him, something he had probably never felt before. He didn't know. He fell back to a state of unconsciousness. The last thing he heard was a loud "H-hey!"
