Child from the age of 2 to 18 are sent to Westview Academy to learn how to control their individual powers. It is set on The Lucent Holm, an island off of New York City. A force field surrounds the island, keeping off "normals" - those without powers - from interfering. The academy is run by Adeline Harris, a woman who helped found the school. These rules are set forth by Ms. Adeline Harris, the headmistress of Westview Academy. Any student caught breaking these rules will be punished accordingly. 1. No fighting in between classes. 2. No using your power outside of classes. Inside of classes, the use of your powers remains to the decision of the teacher. 3. There will be a class that everyone will need to attend to learn how to use their powers; this is the only class that you are free to use your powers in. 4. No "normals" are allowed on campus or the island, unless it is on Visitation Day. 5. No girls in the boys' dorm and vice versa. If a student it caught breaking any of these rules and if a teacher catches them breaking a rule, they will be punished. For a simple rule, the student(s) are not allowed to post for 15 minutes. For a medium rule, the student(s) are not allowed to post for thirty minutes. For a big rule, the student(s) are not allowed to post for an hour. Classes 1st Period: History 2nd Period: Math 3rd Period: English 4th Period: Lunch 5th Period: Science 6th Period: Language Classes are about 10-15 posts each. Class is only over, when a mod or myself roleplays the teacher saying that the class is over. You may NOT timeskip to another class. Ms. Harris stepped up to the podium, a grim look of satisfaction on her face. "Welcome both newcomers and returning students to Westview Academy! I hope that your summer was well and that you are ready for a new year of learning. For those students coming this year, I must warn you of the rules. One, you may not fight with your classmates between classes. Two, you may not use your powers outside of the classrooms. Three, there will be a class outside of your usual schedule that you must attend, this class will serve to teach you in using and controlling your powers - this class will be held every single day after you are done with your six classes. Four, no "normals" are allowed on campus or the island, unless it is on Visitation Day - this date will be posted in a week's advance, which will give you time to invite your friends and family to the island. And finally, girls are not allowed in the boys' dorms and vice versa." The headmistress raised her hands in welcome, her voice booming around the auditorium, "Thank you once more for your undivided attention. As this is the first day of the new term, classes are canceled until tomorrow. Feel free to wander about the campus or go down to the small town. From the teachers and myself, may this year be better then the last." Without another word, the headmistress swept away from the auditorium. She never was one to extend her welcome, it was the same one every single year. Al shoved his hands into his pocket, glancing around the auditorium. There were a ton of new faces around. He was quite surprised to see how many newbloods there were here... He had zoned out for a while, as the old lady was talking; he had heard that speech last year. Basically, all you had to do was keep your nose out of anything and you'd be fine. Wonder if anyone's gonna cause some trouble... he mused to himself, already shuffling out of the auditorium, to head towards the town. Name: Alfred 'Al' Dow Gender: Male Age: 17 Power: Nature's Arsenal: With deep concentration, Al is able to change plants into tools, objects, armor, or weapons. However, because he is still learning to control his power, he is only able to create small tools or objects, such as scissors, pliers, nails, etc. As for armor, he is able to create a breastplate and helmet, though there are still holes and kinks in the armor. The one place where he really shines is creating weapons, mostly dabbling in axes. Changing the plants' DNA, he is able to make the plant weapon feel and act heavier. Each armor, object, tool, or weapon is easily destroyed by even a bit of fire, leaving Al open for attacks when he has to drop or throw the now burning item. If he uses his power constantly in a day, his plant creation will become weaker and weaker, each time he uses it again. (Ex. He first creates an ax, which acts like an actual one. Later the ax is destroyed and he tries to create another one: this one is substantially weaker than the first one. etc.) Personality: +logical +level-headed +observant -distant -perfectionist -tactless History: Al's early life was a simple one: he had loving parents, a couple of friends, and did OK in middle school. He had always had a green thumb, even when he was little. His parents were so impressed at how the plants seemed to bend towards him, while he toddled off. They brushed it off, musing away at their son's affinity towards plants. Despite his looks, Al was a calm and soft-spoken kid; he rarely raised his voice or shouted at someone. Perhaps that was why it took the Academy so long to find him; he entered into the school around the age of fifteen, believing that this was all a mistake and that he was going to go home soon enough. He went to Westview Academy grudgingly, rolling his eyes and shaking his head. This had to be a mistake. Though it wasn't. After the first year of being at the academy, he learned of his power and how to control it. Because it had never appeared suddenly in a fit of rage or a stressful moment, he hadn't even know that he had it. Now this is his second year. So far, he's learned to lie low and not cause a ruckus, something his parents would be quite pleased about. Appearance: Al stands 6''1 and weighs 150 lbs. He is skinny as a rake and doesn't seem to have a lot of muscles, though looks can be deceiving. He almost always has his hand in his pockets and his head slouched down.His skin tone has gotten darker from standing under the sky, making him look like a "shifty-like" character. The male's eyes are a light gray, and most of the time, they are narrowed with irritation. Most of the time, that is the only expression on his face, just pure annoyance. His eyes dart everywhere while he walks around, like he's afraid someone will jump out at him. As his eyes are a dull gray, his hair seems to have lost its sheen and is now a dull brown. He doesn't take much care of it, so it has grown longer than his mother would have liked it to be. The clothes he wears outside of the school uniform is simple: dark maroon coat, black beanie hat which keeps his unkempt hair out of his way, black pants, and brown shoes. With this attire and his head down, Al looks kind of like a shifty character. He doesn't admit, or deny this fact, he allows the lies and mutters to pass over him. @Skylarax: Only one thing to correct- her personality seems to have 5 positive and 3 negative. Could you add two more traits in the negative to make her balanced? If that doesn't work for you, just delete two of the positives. Also, just a comment: power wise, it sounds a bit OP, even with the draw back. If your character would be using it, could you make sure that it is fine with the other character's player? Other then that, it looks fine! To make sure we don't clog up the forum, we can move to PalPad or IM's, if you want. c: @Salamencegirl: only two things to change: power wise, explain how it can backfire on her (ex. the heavier the rock, the harder it is for her to control it.) Unless, her powers fluctuate between her emotions (ex. the angrier she is, her power becomes more sporadic in controlling her element) and personality wise, being aggressive and having the ability to soothe other people are opposites and don't make a lot of sense. We appreciate your interest in your child joining our esteemed school. In this school, they will learn to control their power and, in turn, learn how to blend into life outside of school. Your child will have the usual curriculum if they were still a "normal", though during the afternoon, they will have an instructor that will help them understand their power and how to use it. We also have a large range of ages: some students come at the age of six, if their powers are developing too fast, and others come at the age of eighteen. I can understand that you might feel worried in letting your child go to a school outside of New York City, though I assure you that your child's safety is our first priority, especially in keeping them from the prying eyes of the "normals". The school is off of New York City, on a small island, called The Lucent Holm, in the North Atlantic Ocean. It has a large force field around it, warding off the "normals" from coming to it. Beside the campus, the island also has to offer a small town a couple miles away from the school, giving students the chance to have some fresh air. The school itself is quite large, some new students will get lost in its seemingly endless hallways. There are some classrooms that are vacant, allowing students to practice their powers without interference. Near the school are the dorms, seemingly small on the outside, though is surprisingly large once a students enters. Outside the school, there is a courtyard filled with beautiful followers, benches, and tables for students to relax. Rules Show

Though his determination and gentle temperament allows him to feel like he at least has a reason why he stays in FruitClan. He doesn't take kindly to criticisms, believing that it is a personal attack on his character. However, the red tom laughs easily and has a positive outlook on life. Kin: Shallowripple (mother, deceased) and Lionstrike (father, deceased) History: His mother and father raised Redfeather to be "perfect;" including appearance, attitude, and skill. He tried to appease his parents by trying his hardest, though he was unable to; his clumsy paws let the prey know that there was something out there who wanted them and he was hesitant to lash out at any in battle.
