Child from the age of 2 to 18 are sent to Westview Academy to learn how to control their individual powers. It is set on The Lucent Holm, an island off of New York City. A force field surrounds the island, keeping off "normals" - those without powers - from interfering. The academy is run by Adeline Harris, a woman who helped found the school.

These rules are set forth by Ms. Adeline Harris, the headmistress of Westview Academy. Any student caught breaking these rules will be punished accordingly.

1. No fighting in between classes.
2. No using your power outside of classes. Inside of classes, the use of your powers remains to the decision of the teacher.
3. There will be a class that everyone will need to attend to learn how to use their powers; this is the only class that you are free to use your powers in.
4. No "normals" are allowed on campus or the island, unless it is on Visitation Day.
5. No girls in the boys' dorm and vice versa.

If a student it caught breaking any of these rules and if a teacher catches them breaking a rule, they will be punished. For a simple rule, the student(s) are not allowed to post for 15 minutes. For a medium rule, the student(s) are not allowed to post for thirty minutes. For a big rule, the student(s) are not allowed to post for an hour.

Classes
1st Period: History
2nd Period: Math
3rd Period: English
4th Period: Lunch
5th Period: Science
6th Period: Language

Classes are about 10-15 posts each. Class is only over, when a mod or myself roleplays the teacher saying that the class is over. You may NOT timeskip to another class.


Ms. Harris stepped up to the podium, a grim look of satisfaction on her face. "Welcome both newcomers and returning students to Westview Academy! I hope that your summer was well and that you are ready for a new year of learning. For those students coming this year, I must warn you of the rules. One, you may not fight with your classmates between classes. Two, you may not use your powers outside of the classrooms. Three, there will be a class outside of your usual schedule that you must attend, this class will serve to teach you in using and controlling your powers - this class will be held every single day after you are done with your six classes. Four, no "normals" are allowed on campus or the island, unless it is on Visitation Day - this date will be posted in a week's advance, which will give you time to invite your friends and family to the island. And finally, girls are not allowed in the boys' dorms and vice versa." The headmistress raised her hands in welcome, her voice booming around the auditorium, "Thank you once more for your undivided attention. As this is the first day of the new term, classes are canceled until tomorrow. Feel free to wander about the campus or go down to the small town. From the teachers and myself, may this year be better then the last." Without another word, the headmistress swept away from the auditorium. She never was one to extend her welcome, it was the same one every single year.

Al shoved his hands into his pocket, glancing around the auditorium. There were a ton of new faces around. He was quite surprised to see how many newbloods there were here... He had zoned out for a while, as the old lady was talking; he had heard that speech last year. Basically, all you had to do was keep your nose out of anything and you'd be fine. Wonder if anyone's gonna cause some trouble... he mused to himself, already shuffling out of the auditorium, to head towards the town. Al was already getting sick of this place and it was only the first day.

Seraphina followed the crowd out of the auditorium, her head nearly spinning as she looks around the huge halls. She sees a door out and heads for it. To many people... To many people... She moved as quickly as she could without bumping into anyone. Once outside she took a deep breath as the crowd around her spread out. She looked down the path towards the town. Maybe there is a store there where I can get an apple... She starts walking down the path, avoiding making eye contact. She kicks a small pebble along as she walks in silence, not paying as much attention as she should as to where she's going.

Crispin tried making his way through the crowd. "God damn why are there so many people?!" he said in a frustrated manner trying to make his way through. He hated any sort of traffic or clutter and him wanting to get out of the jam didnt help his frustration.

Brandon yawned, trailing after everyone else to get out. He was new, and already was pretty bored with the headmistress. I just got here... I should at least 'have a better look' on this place, or whatever. He thought, getting a memory on what his mother had once told him to have for everything new to him. He decided not to go to the town, but instead just go outside and get out of that maze-like school. He found his way out, and into the courtyard where benches and tables seemed to be everywhere. He was still pretty tired from losing sleep recently, so he went and sat down on one of the benches in the shade, staring at the sky blankly, and wondering if his mother really was better off without him.

Marceline was humming "Rolling in the Deep" by Adele, trying to not get run over by the crowd. She personally wasn't fond of huge crowds due to her power, and preferred to keep to herself most of the time. Her arm brushed against someone, causing her to shiver and apologize. It was a lovely school, and the architecture was brilliant, it was just the amount of students that bothered her. Pausing for a second to tie her shoe lasses, she headed toward a tree and climbed up the trunk, sitting at one of the top branches. A new experience. she thought to herself, chewing her lip.

Zephyr looked at the big windows of the auditorium. The day was beautiful outside, sunny and it seemed a little breeze was passing through, messing up the trees' bright green leafs. Suddenly a flower came with the breeze. As soon as Zephyr's eyes caught it he was delighted, That's something you don't see everyday... He thought, his eyes following the path of the blueish flower as she passed by the auditorium's windows. That trail ended on the woman that was giving the speech. She had a little grim and Zephyr just started to look at it [s]Why is she doing that? It makes her face look a little bit weird.[/i] All of a sudden, the sound of claps came to his ears and so he started clapping with the crowd. Well I guess it ended already. Maybe I should go to the town and buy some sweets. Kind of in a mood for them! A little smile crept into Zephyr's face at the thought of sweets.

Sasha blinked. Ms. Adeline Harris's speech was the same as last year's. She heaved herself up from the table, her black shoes clicking on the stone. A gray skirt was looped around her thin waist and a red pullover sweater rested on her chest.
She passed the other students, clutching her books to her chest with her left hand and pulled a suitcase behind her with her right. She kept her head down, avoiding eye contact with everyone and anyone. She threaded through the crowd of noisy students, her hair swinging in a curtain around her head.
She strode into the girl's dorm and dragged her suitcase into a corner, where a pile of baggage was already forming. She seated herself on one of the couches, opening her book to a random page.

He made his way out in a huff and brushing himself off. He looked around campus and huffed. "Another year in this place." The golden-eyed boy ran his thin fingers through his reddish brown hair before putting his fedora back on. He then shoved his hands into his pockets and lead himself to his dorm.

After the speech Draco went to his dorm room and started unpacking his clothes. He neatly hanged up his clothing and started setting everything up. He liked staying organized so his closet was in order by color. It went from Blue and Left to Red and Right. Draco looked at his closet "Okay maybe this is too organized. Whatever, I can deal with it for now"

Seraphina stepped over the stone and continued into the little town. She looked about and found a shop that might carry what she wanted. She walked over, opening the door and going inside. She spotted several displays and one filled with apples. She walks over, grabs an apple and heads to the cashier to buy it. She fumbles with her money and puts the change back in her pocket. She grabs her apple and walks outside. Looking around for a place to eat she finds a nice open spot near the edge of the town. She sits on the ground looking out at the water while she eats.

Draco didn't have much food or any kind of drink so he went into the little town and bought some snacks, drinks, and some stuff he could use for whenever he felt like cooking something. Draco also saw some apples so he decided to buy one for a snack to right then. Draco looked for a spot to sit and eat and sat on the ground that was somewhat near Seraphina and started eating the apple he just had bought

Seraphina heard someone nearby her. Her eyes dart to the person and then back to her apple. Who is that? Does he want something? I'm not going to say anything... If he wants something he can ask... She thinks to herself as she takes another bite of her apple. She looks out to the sea and watches a white gull playing on the breeze. It is joined by other gulls creating a waving white mass, which moves in unison.

Draco took a 3rd bite of his apple and heard somebody take a bite of an apple also. He turned around and saw Seraphina looking at the sea "Either I'm an idiot for not noticing her or she just got here" Draco thought. Draco wondered what she was looking at and looked at the gulls that Seraphina was watching. "Cool" He silently said and took another bite of his apple as he continued to watch the gulls

She turns her sights to the water below the gulls. Ever moving ever shifting. Blue waves topped with white crests. She takes a deep breath of the slightly brackish breeze. Either he doesn't want something or he doesn't notice me here... Hopefully he doesn't notice me... No, he must notice me... She takes another bite of her apple, chewing it slowly, thoughtfully.

It was rather quiet by herself, watching the other students pass by. Having nothing better to do, she cupped her hands to her eyes and looked around, spotting two other students sitting near each other. I wonder if they know each other. she wondered, before pulling her hat over her eyes and dropping from the branch. Walking over to them, she stuffed her hands in her pockets and smiled. "Excuse me, but I'm new here, and I was wondering if you guys wanted to chat?"
