"WELL. Okay! If we're actually going to do this we'll need a way to cross the ocean. Personally I get tired levitating for that long so maybe we can ask around the coast to see if any large water pokemon can carry us. That is assuming you can't make another portal? That's the kind of ability you only hear about in legends!"

As Lume approached the environs of the awkward interaction two nights ago, it began to feel heavy, as if it were carrying an iron ball between its two magnets. It hovered towards Araysh.

"O Past Of The... Distant Mirage, what was it? I do believe we got off on the wrong foot. Paw? Screw? Anyway point being, whatever your story is and it really seems like you would rather not tell us, that's absolutely fine by the way, you seem like you would make a powerful ally and so I would like to propose we join forces against the uh, forces of evil in this world such as they are, ~zzt!" it said.

"It doesn't need to even be anything huge like those humans who hunt pokemon for sport, you know we could start with something small like helping people evacuate Cinnabar Island. You must have seen the eruption from here, right?"

If you're going for as many event points as possible, it's not worth doing more than 750 clicks per hour. If there's no event on or you don't care about getting as many as possible, you should only be aiming for 500 per hour for the dream point reward.

But you have to ask yourself if it's worth trying to maximise efficiency. If you really did that all the time you would basically have no life. The way past it is to realise the game will still be here tomorrow. You aren't missing out on anything important by letting your hands rest for a bit. It's okay to take it slow.

About a day had passed since the business with all those gathered pokemon. The clouds out at sea had turned out to be volcanic ash from Cinnabar Island, blown inland by the ocean breeze. No rain, only smoldering sparks.

Lume had made fair headway towards Pallet Town, and it was only at this moment that its flight response to danger finally wore off. This instinct had served it well back when it was fighting for its life, but what about now? It wouldn't do to run at the first sign of difficulty. You couldn't make friends that way.

After some deliberation, Lume turned around and began the long trek back to Copper's cave. It would take another day to get there, but its battery was doing okay for charge. Maybe it could even drop the clown act this time around.

"If only it could be that straightforward," Lume thought to itself.

Backstory: Joined Science Lab 42 for their state-of-the-art research facilities ~~and lax ethics protocols~~. Fascinated by infectious diseases and medicine.

Appearance: Predominantly yellow cap typical of shiny Shiinotic, except the usually brown parts as well as the pale spots are instead black, rather like a hazard symbol. Often seen wearing a white lab coat, nitrile gloves, and a face mask with a smiley face drawn on it :). Removing the mask reveals the exact same expression underneath.

Species: Shiinotic 🟊

Side: Professor

Extra: Terrible at remembering names.

Also, can I get some clarification on what is meant by "magic"? Are researchers still able to use moves they would normally learn, e.g. your alolan vulpix using ice type moves? Or are these off limits? Can Neophytos use Spore and Strength Sap?

I heard you needed a king? I kind of just whipped this guy up so if he's not to people's liking I'll happily step aside. I'm not really a dog person so I didn't go with an eevee type character but we can say the princes take after their mother or something. It's possible to bend canon a little.

His jolly and laid-back facade hides a mind like a locomotive. Tries to be fair, but has a few blind spots due to his class status.

Appearance
Edwarthurge was bitten by a shiny shellder and as such his natural crown is orange-gold in colour. He is somewhat portly and has a tendency to rest his head on his hand, especially when deep in thought.

Backstory
Born into a noble family during a time of relative peace, Edwarthurge is well settled into his role maintaining a decently sized kingdom. There have been few serious threats to the kingdom in his lifetime, but Edwarthurge was trained from a young age in the arts of diplomacy and warfare. Whether his theoretical knowledge will translate to real world danger remains to be seen.

There are lots of reasons to pick Hitmonchan for this one, not least of which is that it's less likely to go for my groin than Hitmonlee. Lee appears to be a being that evolved specifically to kick things whereas Chan is more like a guy that happens to like punching. Chan also strikes me as a more honorable fighter in general and would therefore be easier to cheat against. I'd probably organise the contest near an air vent so its skirt gets blown up Marilyn Monroe style, causing it to get flustered and punch less effectively.

Would you rather:
Smuggle a case of illegally harvested Slowpoke tails across the Kanto-Johto border
or
Have to make monthly payments to Team Rocket for your "protection".
