It's simple, you can deposit money that you are saving so that you accidentally don't spend it.

ok. You can use the Emera Safe to store PD and Nuggets. You will be unable to use them while stored, which is great for preventing accidental spending of money you were saving for something else (for example that shiny you have always wanted).

Yeah, what you suggested without the 5% fee would be better but then again for a trade you have to pay the fee so it balances out

if you wanted to save 3 million pd for a ditto and you set up a private trade to yourself, 5% of 3 mill is 150k. Not to mention that with the safe you can keep depositing money and not pay any fee
