(If this a;ready exists, forgive me, I tried looking.)

So basically, every time we put up an auction, send PD to other players or offer on a trade, we have to pay a 5% tax on all the PD we spend.
Where does this PD go?

Is it just deleted and redistributed through the interaction scheme to help balance the economy?

what was its original intention?

Well if you think about it, you don't want caterpies in the auction for like 500,000, right? It's just really annoying seeing some trolls ruin your visit of the auction house. Well now they have to pay tax, like 25,000 PD If they do pay tax they will probably take it serious and make it reasonable because someone doesn't have to pay it and they will just lose their PD because of tax. Like you said, it really was just to balance the economy I think.

Sorry your first question, well really your just paying for their service like auctioning so it's just like buying a item.

Oh well, I have got no idea just like you. My only guess is so people don't use auctioning like a horrible GTS, while if they give the money back you would have everything as before plus the pokemon. *Cough cough, multi accounters wouldn't have to use a trash pokemon if they used auctioning

People often think the PH sprites are bland. Do they shade? Well, yes they do. You'll be surprised how much care is taken for these sprites.

@Mrinja, I think you've misunderstood? The tax is only taken off what has been earned in the auction house. Therefore, trolling does not cost anything? You can put a caterpie in for a 500,000 pd starting bid, get no bids, and it won't cost you anything unless you use the advertising option?

We do still get the occasional 999,999 starting bids for pretty cheap pokemon :p

The tax is deduced from the buyer, not the seller ^^'
5% of what the winning bid was, gets taken 'to pay for services provided by the Auction House'
The buyer doesn't pay these taxes, so if an Auction goes unsold, the pokémon is simply returned without any loss of funds.

As for why? Probably to prevent users from using the Auction House to pay 'tax-free'. There's a 5% tax on gifting PD, so if the Auction House didn't have this tax, it possibly could've been used in a way that wasn't its intended use.

Ah I understand. So if a multi account wanted to transfer PD over to a main account they'd just put a chaps Pokémon up for a huge amount and bid on it.

I understand now, that makes much more sense. Thank you.
