"Very well. I must address the rabbel first." The blonde man said, smiling ever so slightly at his second in command.

Tallen stood in front of the combined Defermantes. "Today... we honor the 100th anniversary of the Blood Plague that ravaged our land, and deformed so many of our populus. Now we sacrifice some of them to appease the gods, in the hope that they will recind this terrible disease."

The two hooded figures in the crowd suddenly split up, one running to the back of the dias, the other muttering again and moving the torch.

Raven noticed something out of the corner of her eye but brushed it off. Only a figment of my imagination. She thought

Ariana also saw the hooded figure run behind the dias. What in bloody heck is going on here?

Noemi struggled in vain to get her card moving her legs back and forth causing her to swing a bit as it slowly began to get faster and higher. She still had to be faster. Any slower and she'd be stopped.

The hooded figure in front of the dias muttered again as Tallen continued his speech, loosening the rope once again and moving the torch ever so slightly back, as the figure behind raised their gloved right hand slightly and closed their eyes. 3...

Asriel watches from a nearby rooftop. It's not particularly high, and unstable, but not many think to look for him up here. Crouched, he waits, watching with keen hazel eyes. On the outside, he appears calm and relaxed, but inside he's wound as tight as a spring. What if he messes up? Sure, he's had these abilities for a while, his focus and accuracy is no less then as close to perfection as he can manage, but there's always the possibility. If he messes up, what will he have to do to fix it? Will he expend more of his energy, or end up with blood on his hands? Asriel tries bringing his attention back to the present, pushing those thoughts away, watching for the signal.

The figure in infront loosens the rope a third time, waiting for the right moment to continue.

The figure behind spots the man on the roof and nods to him.

Raven looks behind her to see The hooded figure "Someone stop that witch!" She snapped at the nearby Inquistors.
Ariana watched as the torch moved back and then stiffened when she heard Raven yell.

Asriel's mind snaps into focus, his eyes turning pure gold. The bonds holding the Marked snap, completely disappearing into nothing before they hit the ground. The kindling turns to ashes, and Asriel feels a sharp pain from his left wrist. Not now, not when it's so important. He thinks, leaping off the roof and landing without a sound on the ground below.

"NOW!" The figure yelled, dropping her hood and casting an illusion over Raven and the guards coming at her of spiders crawling up their legs, smiling ever so slightly at the girlish screams if one, and then fired another into the sky, turning it blood red and the sun black.

The other figure moved the torch into her hand. Trusting her friend, she ran and leapt onto the dias, herding the Defermanes to follow her and relaxing as she felt the illusion of invisibilty slip over her like a dress. She motioned to Asriel, telling him to start the process.

Tallen stared at the sky. "Impossible... She should be dead!"

Jonathan sighed sword drawn near where Asriel landed shaking a bit, "Freeze! Surrender now!" Kill him! He has powers! No don't! He has just as much right to live as you. He will kill you! Better than disobeying God! What about the king?!


Septen smiled dancing past some of the guards. A few he saw where dancing with him. So those where the weak minded. Making note of their faces he nodded. This would be helpful.

Noemi stumbled about looking around. As she witnessed Dominic take flight flying over the castle walls.

Asriel blinks at Jonathan for a moment. "Put down the sword, and let me pass." He says, tapping into his own energy, forcing Jonathan to do as he says. He doesn't want to kill the guy, or even injure him. Unfortunately, a stab of white-hot pain goes through Asriel's left wrist, making him flinch, letting his focus waver for a moment, putting a little less power into his words.

Ariana quickly ran into the shadows, covering herself in the shadows as she followed The hooded figures.

Raven growled "Damn You!" She hissed not caring about the illusion.

Put the sword down and let him go? It sounded so very convincing as his head felt heavy but a moment later it cleared a bit. "I am sorry sir but you and I both know I can't do that."

Asriel's eyes fade to hazel for a moment, feeling slightly dizzy. A part of his mind is chiding himself, Changing someone's thoughts takes a lot of energy, there are much easier solutions. He pushes away that thought, regaining his focus once more. Over a dozen choices face him now, some violent, others peaceful. For a second he considers stopping his heart, just letting him die, but he refuses to do that. Instead, he simply lets his cells dissolve into nothing, reconstructing behind Jonathan within half a second. More pain rewards him, but he ignores it and takes off running, eager to catch up to the Defermanes. The faster they get out of here, the faster he can sleep and try to regain some energy.

He stood there a moment not sure what to do. He couldn't kill him, but he couldn't let him escape. Grabbing a nearby bow and arrow he aimed at Asriel's leg and let it go. Please let it miss.

A hand made of shadows grabed Asriel and pulled him into the shadows before the arrow hit him "Are you ok?" Ariana asked slightly out of breath from the stunt.

Asriel, surprised, almost pulls out his knife and stabs her. Almost. Instead his right hand twitches and he nods, tilting his head in the direction they were heading. "Come on, hurry."

The silver haired girl walke up to the dias, her face shrouded in a mask.
"Hello Tallen."
"My, my! The Lady decides to grace us with her presence!"
"Tch. I see your humour has not improved over the years. Very well." She's said as she ran towards him and made a deep gash in his leg and whispered in his ear. "I know what you are Tallen. And I you want it to be only me who knows, do not lay a hand on the Defermanes." She hummed, and jumped off the dias, cloaking herself and the others in an illusion of invisibility and leading them into the catacombs, leaving Tallen gasping in pain on the cold stone floor.

Asriel dashes off, catching up with Nova as fast as he can. As soon as he sees that she is safe, he relaxes. "Everything go according to plan? Anyone hurt?" He asks, his eyes a curious hazel once more.
