hello!! hola!! bonjour!! annyeonghaseyo!! I'm running out of languages!! how have ya'll been?? good hopefully. this place has been kinda dead for a while, so let's try and fix that!! what have you guys been writing recently?? gotten into any new styles?? any new characters?? unfortunately i can't post much of the stuff i've been writing recently but i've been really into half story format have text dialogue writing for the past couple weeks.

Cocoa claimed a spot at a table and handed the book back to Chae. "Go put that back and go find something in the foreign language section. Or do you have already have a book in mind?" she said. He nodded, hurrying off to a different section of the library. He'd obviously spent a lot of time there, because he didn't even have to look to tuck the book back where it belonged or pick up the one he wanted. He set down his new selection in front of Cocoa, and she smiled at him. "Really into the poetry recently, huh?"

"I don't know," Cocoa said, looking at Marina. "I could be mean if I really wanted to, I guess. It just doesn't seem right. I'm not driven by fear or disgust when I study angels and demons, I'm driven by pure curiosity, and that probably makes me nicer." She paused, thinking about it. "I've also been here a lot longer than everyone else, since I was one of the original scientists. I've spent a lot more time one on one with the subjects, and it makes them seem more... alive, I suppose. Less like animals or something."

"Garrick," Joshua said, "there's no need to be rude. We'll have to wait for Cocoa to come and escort us, but she shouldn't be too long. Then we'll be out of your hair-" A beep sounded, and the door opened, letting Cocoa poke her head through. Joshua smiled. "Right on time. Do you mind if some of us tag along?"

"As long as you don't cause a ruckus or disturb Chae, I don't mind." She grinned at the skinny demon as he stood up and handed her the book he'd read last night. "Come along, then." She motioned for them to follow and headed out.

"Good morning, Chae," he murmured, and Chae's wide silver eyes poked over the edge of the bed. "What time is Cocoa taking you to the library?" Chae shrugged. Chae curled up the corner he'd claimed before they left the room, and Joshua laid down in the bed right next to the corner. "Goodnight, Chae," he says, brushing Chae's horns with his wings carefully and then curling them close to his body to make himself a feathery cocoon. He snapped his fingers twice and the lights in the room shut off. Chae simply pulled out the book from behind Joshua's bed and read, undisturbed by the pitch black that should have blocked his vision.

	"They sure are an excitable bunch," Cocoa said, running a hand through Chae's hair to touch his tiny horns gently. They glowed a dim soft pink at the the contact. "Will you be okay? I'll take you to library tomorrow, if I can." Chae nodded, his frame slouching a bit. She smiled. "Okay. You shouldn't have taken that book, though." Chae nodded again. [Read more]

"Every scientist has their own reason," Cocoa said, slowly. She had to choose her words very, very carefully. "Some are driven by hatred or fear of the unknown, and those bad emotions make them hurt the ones who are here. However, not everyone's like that. I came here because I was curious, and I wanted to set an example for the others. You can be nice and still get results. Truthfully, I was going to leave, but then I created Chae." She reached back slightly to brush her fingers against his. "I became a pseudo-mother, and I had to stick around to make sure he was okay. Testing on the others is just a bonus to the job."
