Hello!

So I have an idea, it's a pretty large idea. Since This website is still fairly new compared to the other websites I am not so sure how this will be taken up.

The suggestion is: Have a new form of pokemon.


I play on a website called pokefarm and they just released new forms called albino and melanistic. Now this idea is sorta like that. but you don't need to use those types though. On many websites there have golden pokemon (pokemon that all colors are gold), ghost pokemon (Pokémon with a shadowy color palette), or even chrome pokemon (pokemon that have a grey palette).

Now this idea isn't simple, in fact, I think this will take quite some time to be implemented. So, that is why I am putting it up now for future references.

Now this doesn't have to be what is implemented! There are 100's of ideas that we can do! Some easier ones would be:
Sweet (pokemon are pink/light blue like cotton candy)
Sandy (pokemon are brown/sandy color)
Chalk board (pokemon are a grainy black/gray color)
cloudy (pokemon are a white/grey/very light blue color)
electric (pokemon have a yellow/blue glow around them)


Those are just 5 of the examples out of 100's!

the reason I think this should be implemented is, we have megas and shinies, only two types that a pokemon can hatch to (besides regular). This would add to user enjoyment and a wider variety of pokemon in game.

I can almost guarantee that even if 1 new type of pokemon is added, the enjoyment of the whole user base will increase!


The only cons that I can think about at the moment are the coding process. I mean, I am no coder, so adding all these new pokemon sprites may be difficult.


anyways, I apologize if this has already been suggested, I didn't see any, but I may have just missed them...

that was meant to mean, I am putting this up now so in case there is no further updates then this would be a potential possibility. I never said it was necessary or that it had to implemented due to other websites doing so. (also, there are a lot of ideas that are being suggested that don't need to be implemented, they are just suggested because they think it would be fun or cool.)

So yeah this is something that can be suggested. So long as it's not about obtaining missing legendary Pokemon then it's cool.


Now about the suggestion itself:
I think it'd just take too much time to color, and yeah something like this could be an event but I'd rather the spriters to go through the effort to make a whole unique looking Pokemon than just a recolor

These hundredds of possibilities make the 2,000 types of Pokemon already obtainable millions. However, these formes look horrible to me, they look bad. I don't like them. For short, I'd quit Pokeheroes if everybody would be talking about only 5 of these. No support.

again, those are just examples of what could be done. I'm not saying those are the exact ones that we have to use, I'm only showing those in case you didn't understand what the suggestion was.

Yeah, what Aperture_Blaze said! Pokeheroes is supposed to be a unique fangame. All of the other fangames you see (ex. the ones you got this idea from) are all very similar in the way that they have strangely colored Pokemon. Pokeheroes should be unique and only have the normal and shiny Pokemon. Plus, what Sitri said, if there are 100's of ideas that would mean we would have more than 2 million Pokemon to obtain for the Pokedex.

Ehhh... I dunno. The re-colored pokes on other sites always seemed kinda lame to me. I mean, the Ditto you show are just a re-color, really, and I feel like if you dump too many pokemon like that, you'll decrease the worth of the event pokemon (that while some of them are re-colors, most are unique). I can see having full out designs of certain pokemon that can potentially have other forms than given to us in the games (i.e. something like a North/South Shellos), because those go along with the thoughts on the game. It just doesn't feel like it'd be that original if every Magikarp or Ditto had a different type. There's got to be some continuity somewhere, and they're already doing really awesome with the designs of the events we have, so I think I'll stay neutral until there's some different examples.

No support, this is not really needed, and PH doesn't go around copying other sites, plus, some sprite shops do these so if these are added, what would the point of ordering their sprites when the are in PH?
Plus, it would be hard to code, and other reasons already stated.

Guys, it's ok if we have features and things on PH that are on other sites. Stating the reason that PH "doesn't copy other sites" is completely invalid; heck, this is a Pokemon egg hatching site. There you go, we have GPX+ and PF, we're already doing things that other sites are doing. We have event Pokemon, x2 days, pokeradars, account upgrades- tons of stuff GPX+ and PH have.

However, despite that being said, I don't support this. I've always found the metallic, golden, etc. Pokemon idea to be pretty stupid. We already have shiny and event Pokemon, along with the regular coloring, plus some Pokemon have multiple forms. Something like this just isn't needed.

We don't want to be like the other sites. I prefer pokemon as they are. It would really decrease the market in pokemon sprites here, nobody wants recolored sprites if there already are recolored sprites. It would make pokemon less special. Magikarp wouldn't be trash, and Ditto would be impossible because you can't breed it. Pokemon has already built a nice and stable community and needs to enrich that, not add new things too it that may scare off some people.
