One thing that helps is if you find the category you need - say items or pokes - open the hidden content then use CTRL + F and then type what you need and it will find what you need 8)

Would people say the price of pearls and other beach objects are still accurate or do you think they've decreased in value the past few months? (seen more people offering less and less for pearls)

They're expensive because you can't find them in Rumble Areas (similar to Bug & Fairy Gems) but also they're used to summon the Kalos Legends, Xerneas, Yveltal & Zygarde, respectively.

They technically don't, they're used to buy the Kalosian legendary eggs from the Gem Collector.

If you go to the Gem Collector and check out his eggs he'll tell you how many of each Gem you'll need for one of his special eggs. When you get 75 Dragon Gems plus x amount of other gems he'll give you an egg of your chosen Legend in exchange. He can only give you Xerneas, Yveltal and Zygarde though.

EDIT: The two above explained it as well but I hope I gave more detail~
