Now first off, I know this would be very time consuming to do for the staff, but keep in mind it is only a suggestion so please don't be too harsh aight?

I think this would be a good idea because it would breath a bit of life into the pokemon on this website, not a lot of other if any click sites like this have this kind of feature to my knowledge so I think it could be a kind of defining thing for this site to make it a bit more different then the other click sites.

Like I said previously, yes, it would take a lot of time and effort to make this happen but I think it might be worth it.

And for people who's PCs cannot handle that amount of animation on screen at one time or just simply would not like to have the sprites animated of course there would most likely be a option to turn sprite animation off.

Also I know this is a very minor thing but I personally would love to see it happen, its one of those little things I think would very much improve the site.

As for the event/custom pokemon, I know this site has a lot so to be honest I think those should be in lower priority as the regular pokemon just because they don't have different sprites for them that can be put together to animate them, the artist/spriters would have to create completely new sprites for all of them to piece together and animate them so it would be pretty hard to do as well as very, very, time consuming compared to the regular pokemon.

Now, where do I start....

You really haven't given a reason WHY we need this besides "it's cool"

And you really really have no clue how much work that would take. An average moving pokemon gif has 10+ frames, and there are over 700 pokemon (not counting events, alternate formes, etc)

Then, there is the space this would take up on the server. gif files take up more room than the png files the sprites currently are in. And, in order to be fair to the slow computer users, you'd need both.

If you wanna see pokemon moving, there are many other options. Adding pokemon as Gifs wouldn't improve ANYTHING

No support - Yes sure you could disable them - but that would add another 700+ "normal" sprites onto the site- thus taking up even more space and slowing it down even more.. There is a reason why not too many sites use moving sprites and why those that do use them don't have too many members. I like this site just the way it is right now.
