You know how on Facebook, there's a camera button where you can upload images from your computer onto Facebook? I think there should be an option for that when making a thread, posting a reply to a thread, and in the palpad.

I know people are probably thinking "What if the image is too big?" I think just like with the Avatar, only pictures up to a certain size can be uploaded. Another option would be to automatically resize it or automatically put the image in something like a spoiler box.

Also, sorry if this has been suggested before. I tried using the Search Bar, but couldn't come across anything.

It's a good idea, but can't people just upload the images on imgur and get the image url?

That's not as easy on a mobile device. And besides, I detest the idea that we should use another site just to get pictures up onto this site. I think it would be better and easier this way, not to mention that there'd be no time limit for how long they can stay (maybe) as opposed to sites like Ezimba.

Sorry, no support for this. I personally hate Facebook. And that idea is... It just doesn't fit Pokeheroes, an adoptable site, that is an unique one. If there qould be implemented all the suggestions because other popular sites have this, it makes PH just another site that copied the others. You can just link the image from prntscr or photobucket.

Being an artist Id LOVE to have such a feature cause itd make my life so much easier when updating threads and stuff - but honestly I think that it'd make the server heavier. ouo Unless there's a way to redirect those images onto another place to be stored (I dont know much about this kinda stuff).

Sorry, No support....
This is a adoptable site and this thing isn't necessary here. PH is completely different from Facebook. Facebook is a type of site where we can meet people from around the world. It is generally meant for old people or adults.
Pokeheroes on the other hand is a adoptable site where you come to have fun. So, it is more than just Facebook.
Also, Riako want's to make this site different from others, not just copies of Facebook. And Riako is also working to make this site mobile friendly, so this will not be needed.

This isnt necessary for the game aspect of PH, but it'd be great for the forum+Communications aspect of the site. That's basically what this is for...

Actually, I don't get where you're getting at with your argument. PH can be a type of site where people met others from around the world. I've met and talked to more new people here than Facebook, mainly because it's more friendly. And Riako has 'copied' Facebook a couple times with a few features, such as the Palpad. He even admitted that.

Wow! Something I wanted since the beginning.

I'm a mobile phone user, and I find it really difficult to upload images.

@Pikablu: Implementing this in no way means you're copying Facebook in the first place. A large number of sites have this feature, and not just Facebook.
Moving forward to what you said, this does not violate the spirit of this site. PH still remains an adoptable site, and is a larger consideration than anything else, even this. It's just that people still (and why shouldn't) post images as a part of communication, so why not make it easier? Uploading an avatar is a process just like this, so can we remove the feature just bcoz it copies Facebook?

Sorry if anything sounds rude, I didn't intend to show rudeness, and was just explaining the point.

I don't understand the argument "We don't want to be like Facebook" - because there are many many many sites that have image upload services :b Most forums that I know have something like that where you can upload and attach pictures to forum posts.

Marikot: Our second server has a lot of unused space and that space could be used for more than 10 Million Pictures (avg. size 1MB).
I also considered such a tool since the beginning of PokeHeroes - but back then we only had our main server which has already very limited storage size. Server 2 is a different type of server and it can store much more data.

Exactly, Riako! I only used Facebook as an example because a huge fraction of the human population uses it and it's popular as compared to the forum sites, so it would be easier for people to visualize the idea.

I don't know how come I didn't support this just yet - but you have my full support on this one! I find it so useful on other sites where you can just skip whole url process and just add a picture easier without uploading it to another site first :o
