No, there's a difference between one study and a conclusive study. A conclusive study requires an experiment that has been repeated and shows similar or the same results. It also requires a theory that can be backed up by different examples. A single study on a single thing is not conclusive. There's a difference.

tbh, I think you're taking this a little too close to heart.
You do realize that we're here to justify our opinion just as much as someone else?
Just because ones views isn't the same over the subject because of their status on this website, does not mean it's impossible for it to happen.
A few of us do not agree with this suggestion, and a few do agree with it, what seems to be the problem?
Is the suggestion forum not here for us to post our own views on what could possibly come to the site/could possibly not?
If you cannot handle people fighting back with their own valid opinions, just as yours are /just/ as valid, and go so far as to "block me if you don't like the way I think", then perhaps the current topic of conversation isn't something that should be discussed until people can act with respect for ones others' opinions.

I'm sorry.

Honestly at this point I think a temp ban would do me good.

I don't have any friends anyways due to my stressed temperament.

I'm just gonna edit my posts and stop posting here.

I understand your points ^^ this was mostly just an alternate idea for people who want to tighten the word restrictions here. And I know it would be hard to make it work, so many kids lie about age and such.

I agree with this.

And honestly, if someone lies about their age and "shock" themselfs, its THEIR fault. A 18+ thing would be there for a reason.

I searched up words on the WordSafety link and APPARENTLY 'hat' is a bad word.

@Fernsong Are you sure the site isn't glitching?

Oh and no support, this a website aimed towards KIDS, not adults
I'm awesome!
And all those who are making suggestions that will make PH safer, I agree with you and thank you.

I understand who it's aimed for, but that doesn't change the fact that it does have a large adult population, who are already restricted quite a bit. Instead of catering to one part of the website only, consider both ages.

No, I'm sure. I tried it on my laptop as well. If you don't believe me, you should check it out.

As I said before, this has already been suggested.

I'll be linking here every Suggestions thread regarding this same subject. Any suggestion regarding censored or private +18 types of communication in PH will be included. (I'll edit this post as soon as I find more)

The first isn't much like mine, it's rather different.

The second is very close, and I like that idea as well.

But, considering that others have been suggesting similar ideas, wouldn't that mean the thought of a more adult-friendly additive to the site is a popular one?

No support. The site is obviously made for kids. If you put an age restricted area in the site, the kids will simply lie about their age to get there (because who would't?) and then you have a kid's site with a 18+ area that only benefit a minority and there is no effective way to protect it's main public from it. That sounds like an ethic and legal nightmare.

There are already spaces for older people to post that kind of content, and it is not here.
(In fact, you could just make your adult Pokemon RP forum if you want to. No one is stoping you)

I think Afterbrain meant on other websites? ^^ I'm inclined to believe this since they did say "There are already spaces for older people to post that kind of content, and it is not here."

However, to clarify just in case, we do not allow adult RPs here. That'd definitely be a violation of our current child-friendly rules.

True, but considering most people do put in their real age when they sign up, that'd make it a little easier.

But, of course, you wouldn't catch them. Some kids put in 18+ ages for everything, but...you'd think they'd know what they're getting into, if they do.

As I said earlier, we really should't care about the children who lie about their age. Its not the older people's fault if they were raised to lie about their age.

A year ago or so in Haichul's suggestion, I voted no for a mature content filter type thing.

Now a year later I have come to find that at the very least, the cussing rule has become way too restrictive. So I must give my support.

I'm tired of not being able to post YouTube links because there's cussing in the comments which is something I can't control. Actually, no. I'm frightened. The video can be clean but if the comments aren't then I can still get reported. And might I add that comments can be made at any time by any body. Heck, someone could post a curse word in the comments themselves, and then report me for the link because it has cussing in the comments!

I've brought up that point before. And there's also the problem with Tumblr, or anything else that shows who has liked things (because people can have curse words in their names), or anything with comments, etc.

Heck it could even come to the point where I wouldn't be able to post my DeviantArt or something around, maybe someone cussed on my page! We shouldn't be getting in trouble for uncontrollable things that happen on another website.

I have 2 younger siblings, aged 10 and 12. Both of them, awful potty mouths. All of their friends - awful potty mouths. Their friend's friends - Awful. Potty. Mouths. Kids cuss anyways. There shouldn't be a need to protect children from something they're already exposed to in every day life.
Kids can suck it up. It's all their fault if they look when they're not supposed to.

Now of course I'm not saying allow all cussing. Anything directed towards someone in an unfriendly manner should still be reported and dealt with, but not if it's something that's not towards anyone in a harmful way.

Have my 2 cents. //rolls away//
