I didn't realize that the event was supposed to be over, but I claimed an egg 14 hours ago. Looking at the first post, apparently this wasn't supposed to be possible, as the event was supposed to end on the 10th, so any on the 11th shouldn't have been obtained :<

I hope that this bug gets looked into, and that I get to keep the egg, since I wanted to give the Shaymin to a friend of mine.

If it goes the same as the previous summer/winter events, yesterday was simply an extra day (or Riako has to end it 'manually'), but you get to keep the eggs that came out of it.

I've had extra Shaymin and Kyurem because of a delayed ending, and I got to keep the egg both times :)

(Though I'm pretty sure it's really over now)

Looks like I was wrong about it having ended...
It should've ended on the 10th, though maybe Shaymin just doesn't want to leave yet :P

Guys, I talked to one of our Moderators about the extended event issue (KevinXDE), and he said that Riako just hasn't ended it yet, either because he's busy, or being nice, or otherwise. He also said that you still technically earned it because of the mass interactions, so don't hesitate to take a Shaymin gift should it appear, and continue sending Skygifts until it's no longer available! :D

The shaymin event just ended - sorry for the delay :) I wasn't at home since Monday; it was quite a busy week for me.
If you still have a Shaymin in your Userbar, then please claim its gift during next week.

Also today is the last day to send three Sky gifts to your friends!
