LWW Presentation 6

Character: Lucy, Peter, Susan, Edmund

Lucy, Peter, Susan, and Edmund became the kings and queens of Narnia.

They grew and became young rulers. “So they lived in great joy and if ever they remembered their life in this world it was only as one remembers a dream” ( Lewis 184).  Around the earlier chapters, Mr. Tumnus told Lucy “about long hunting parties after the milk-white stag who could give you wishes if you caught him”( Lewis 16). In the very last chapter, Mr. Tumuns brought the news that the White Stag had once more appeared. All of the siblings decided to hunt the White Stag.  The White Stag brought them to the lamp-post, and it brought back their memories when they found Narnia. “ I know not how it is, but this lamp on the post worketh upon me strangely. It runs in my mind that I have seen the like before; as it were in a dream, or in the dream of a dream.” “Sir”, answered they all, “it is even so with us also,”’ Edmund said (Lewis 186). The White Stag must represent the desire of Lucy, Edmund, Susan, and Peter to return home. Even though they did not catch the White Stag, it showed and led the way back home.
