Bad:
Character A: remember when you did x
RPer B: dont say that its stupid
RPer A: i thought it was funny
RPer B: its stupid and makes no sense
—rp is ground to a halt—

Good:
Character A: remember when you did x
Character B: that was one time and you know it. How was I supposed to know
—rp progresses in a fun way as they carry on the bit—

Obviously there are some exceptions to this like if there is genuinely good reason to not want your character to do something

Just build on the bit and recognize it’s a shared story and you’ll have like 100000x the fun
