ok weird question but does anyone else think that the names of the event pokemon here are absolutely awful either in terms of creativity or being able to like. pronounce them out loud

i only just noticed this while looking through the wiki for fun and its like man... even the most amateur fakemon artist can make better names than some of this stuff lol, just mashing a random generic word into an existing pokemon's name does not sound good

Btw in all fairness people who are homophobic, transphobic or any other type of bigot kinda should be banned because the priority should be keeping queer people safe. If they're open to be educated that's lovely, but it's never a requirement considering most queer people probably have to have these discussions on a weekly basis. Some of em are tired of it.

If you tolerate everybody no matter what, you create an unsafe environment for those you claim to be an ally for. Tolerating intolerance makes you as bad as them, in a way.

Always remember, if your acceptance of peoples' identities relies on them being the "good kind" of whatever they may be, and those who are overly sensitive, experience things in a different way to the norm, or are simply strange people are invalid to you, you are not an ally! Allyship cannot be conditional!

That famous trans person you hate? You still have to use her pronouns, they're a basic right. Certain queer people are annoying, easily offended, or even straight up bad people but that is never a reason to weaponise their identity! Bigotry under the guise of it being based on their personality is still bigotry!

And if your right to use certain words or terms that are harmful is more important than anything else, even after repeatedly being educated... Well, language matters and it shows a lot!
