Day #4 of #AYMNKO !
Animal: Cubaris Murina Papaya!
these little guys are one of the cutest species of isopods ever! they are a small and social species that are a lovely baby pink color! Cubaris Murina are native to the Gulf of Mexico. They inhabit near brackish waters with a pH balance of 6.5-7.5. The isopods gain protection from their environment by creating burrows beneath the substrate that they inhabit, but mine, are actually stay on the surface and aren't scared when i pick up there cork bark. what great about these guys is how prolific these little guys are, and the babies are so tiny and cute their to die for!

1: BlueberryPiemon Q: Who is your favorite person on this site? A: my favorite person is Orca~! i've only talk to a few people, but its easy to say Orca~, she is so sweet and kind and a great person all around!
2: Fomantis Q: whats your favorite isopod? A: i can't easily chose one, so i'll chose two! my favorites are, Cubaris Murina Papaya andd Armadillium Gestroi!

Thank you 2 so much!

Day 3 of #AYMNKO !
Animal: Armadillidium gestroi!
these little fellows are one my favorite species of isopods I personally own! these are on of the bigger types of isopods growing up to 2cm or 0.8 inches!
these lil guys are very Active! Whether it's due to their size or their markings, Armadillidium gestroi are confident and active out and about in their enclosures! these guys need lots of space due to there size and territorial males, they also need a steep humidity gradient, (full care guide)
these guys are native to France, more specifically the area of Aquitaine in the southwest of the country. these isopods naturally inhabit the shrublands, woodlands, and forest edges, where they hide and forage among leaf litter and fallen logs.
i love these guys and if you were to get in to keeping isopods, i would more the definitely recommend these lil guys!

Day #2 of: #AYMNKO !
Animal: Continental Giant Rabbit! (Requested by Himari)
the Conti is the worlds largest breed of rabbit, weighs around 25 lbs and are approximately 3 feet in length. To give you some perspective, a Conti will grow to about the same size as a full-grown French bulldog! These rabbits have somewhat shorter that other breeds, only being 4-5 years, instead of 7-10.
The Conti is very docile and calm, generally making great household pets and companions. While some Conti's may vary per individual size and appetite levels, the general rule of thumb is “the more the better.” In fact, these big bunnies require unlimited fresh water, and they can and often will eat 6 to 12 cups of high quality pellets per day. Conti's should also be given unlimited hay.
The first recorded reference to this breed was noted as being from the Flanders region in Belgium, during the 16th Century.

(im posting this early because why not)
Day #1 of: #AYMNKO (Animals you might not know of)! woohoo! (requested by: Himari )
the animal: The Greenland Shark! (also know as sleeper sharks)
so the greenland shark, a very cool creepy and big shark! they get around 8-14 feet (2-4 meters) normally! but they can up to 24 feet (7 meters)!
This shark is mainly a cold water animal. It is present in the North Atlantic Ocean in polar latitudes, but may occasionally be found further south in the Gulf of Maine, or rarely, as far south as the Gulf of Mexico.
these sharks live in the deep depths of the oceans and could possibly live up to 500 years! (so one could be older that the U.S.A)
these sharks haven't been successfully kept in captivity due to the environment they live in.
most Greenland sharks are completely or almost completely blind due to a parasite called Ommatokoita which attaches to the eye of the shark and renders them blind.
