When disguised as his shifted form, he gains both a Kirin horn and a tail. His coat is a deep blue hue , and his mane extends far past his neck with a teal gradient dyed beneath the outer layer of his hair, with this same dye style along the insides of his tail. Despite this stark change, he cannot shift away his wings, and so he either tucks them into his shirt or claims they're just an incredibly realistic costume. He wears a pale shirt with a ruffled collar.

true form

His true form is disheveled and slovenly. His slick coat becomes oily and rough, hairs sharp. He bears a tired gaze and oftentimes a pout. His colors lean more teal, with holes through his legs, tail, and an entirely broken horn. His hair is short and frazzled, the sides patchy with bald spots. Now, he wears no ruffled collar shirt, nor does he hide his wings.

Personality:

When not in his true form, Seraph is self-absorbed and narcissistic, often staring into mirrors and touching up his appearance. His true form, though, is more insecure. When using his true form, he shies away from mirrors and reflections, and oftentimes wears large baggy clothes and masks so people don't see what he looks like. He becomes more reserved and quiet, rather than the pompous loudmouth he is in his other form.

Backstory:

"You were born a Changeling, and you will always be one."

Those words were spat day and night throughout Seraph's life. How he'd flip through smuggled books, wishing he could shift into some other sort of being. But unlike nearly all the changelings, his abilities were incredibly stunted in growth. He could barely shift properly. He tried unicorns, pegasi, and even earth ponies - he couldn't do any.

He'd become inspired by his friend, Veiled Northstar, to practice shifting into a kirin. Surprisingly, this was the only race he was able to shift into. The only problem was that he could not properly conceal his changeling wings... he had to find a way to figure out how to explain that, as kirin don't have wings, do they?

He vanished one night, dashing out of the place he once believed to be his "home" - now running towards somewhere, anywhere. Possibly Equestria... or Canterlot. Whichever place he'd find first. After days of journeying through forests, small towns, and hills, he arrived at Manehattan, dazzled by the haute couture, towering buildings, and bustling boutiques.

It swiftly became an interest of his to delve into fashion history and fashion as an art form. Learning of the ponies' beauty standards, he tweaked his appearance until he became what was deemed as the most striking. Judging from magazines, fashion shows, and models, he learned that changelings aren't... and were never deemed attractive or beautiful, leading him to resent his true self.

𓏵 He likes scrapbooking using fabrics. He uses his journal as a log for pretty fabrics he subtly steals from other people's clothing.

Name: Veiled Northstar || "VN"

Gender: Female || She/They/It.

Age: 24.

Species: "Kirin".

Appearance: Veiled Northstar has light, pale blue fur and a slightly more saturated and darker, shaggy mane that fades to white as it goes on. Her tail is also light blue with a fuzzy tuft of the same color as her mane. VN's cutie mark is in the shape of a snowflake.

Personality: As Veiled Northstar, she is generally a loner, not wanting to attract unnessecary attention and tends to avoid other ponies, wanting to cease conversation as fast as possible. She's generally pretty sarcastic regardless of her forme. As Doodlebug, she tends to be more open, although still sarcastic.

Backstory: Doodlebug always loved being a Changeling. She didn't quite understand why. They WERE supposed to be evil, love-eating monsters, but Doodle was neither of that, often being considered strange by other members of her kind. Doodlebug always loved changing the shape of her horn and the color of her mane and tail. She could shapeshift almost perfectly, and perhaps this ability was what sparked the fire within her.
Doodlebug eventually met another Changeling by the name of Seraphine. This one, however, couldn't shapeshift. They eventually bonded over their uniqueness, Doodle offering Seraph advice on correct transformation and showing her the disguise she made, Veiled Northstar. They were both surprised when it resulted in a success. When Seraphine ran away, she travelled all across Equestria in hopes of finding her long-lost friend, eventually ending up with the group.

Any Interesting Facts: She often uses her telekinesis while making art as Veiled Northstar.
