It's mostly not about what I have here, but what I try to accomplish. These past few days grinding for the specific Pokémon I wanted was already a challenge, but now I also realize that trying to find it was half the battle. There's six Pokémon that I'm after, and not only do I want to raise it myself, not only do I have to find the right gender, nature and attributes. I have to sacrifice my own time to do so. It took me years to do the same on Pokémon GO, and I'm going to do the same now. Maybe if I'm lucky, it won't be so hard as I thought it would in the long run.

Carla is the first Pokémon I'm trying to emulate here. She's a Lucario, and a character I've used in so many fanfictions that nobody in the world but me will ever read. She's relatively cocky about her abilities, but adamant and stubborn enough to keep it stagnant and unprogressive. I've encountered a couple Riolus so far, but none of them are quite as close in nature or gender. It'll happen eventually. I'll find the right one.

I again stall. At both my hobby and my progress on a Riolu. Speed Click Saturday didn't help much. It just made it more frustrating to collect Fighting Type eggs because everyone keeps collecting them without regards to what the type is. They don't wait, and I guess I have to adapt somehow. Maybe my approach of waiting is hindering my progress and a big waist of time. Why sit around when all you have to do is just take it first and ask questions later? At least I get a 1 in 17 chance in getting one.

This isn't really important about my day to day, but I might as well say it before I forget. Back when generative AI was in its infancy, I would try and make some stories about Pokémon in it, and it would always end up being about dreams. One of those dreams was about Carla, because obviously I have no other original ideas, and most of them ended with the user being chased. By a snake, an unknown entity, or some other monolithic creature beyond its comprehension. There was a certain passage in one of them that kept repeating suicidal thoughts as well. That was back in 2023 though, when NovelAI was a shit hole and its only gotten worse with age lol

I've been holding off on getting bug types for a while, but since I saw that no one was taking a Pinsir, I might as well keep. Turns out it was a Mega Pinsir.
Finally got a female Riolu, but it wasn't the right nature. Back to the drawing board.

I can't believe the hardest Pokémon I'm going to get is a Delphox. Starter Pokémon eggs are as hard to come by, maybe slightly more, than legendries in this game.

I'm having the worst luck you can possibly imagine today. I couldn't get a single fighting type egg because the website glitches before the type pops up, and when I refresh it, someone takes it. And when I do know it's a fighting type egg, the site lags and someone takes one at the lab before I do (if you can't tell, this is all from the lab).

I've hatched about fifteen (plus) Riolus in the course of half a month. There was an unusually high amount of Riolu eggs i the wild yesterday and the early morning. A whopping total of five and yet? None of them produced the one I wanted...again...I wait.
