FULL DISCLOSURE: I used the method I described for I think like 20 sec(?) but then stopped because I wanted to double check if there was anything about it that violated site terms BECAUSE while it is completely manual, it is much faster than how fast I've been able to interact historically. I will not use this method again unless I hear from a mod and they say it is okay. I AM NOT using modified software or any hardware where more than one button is used to left-click.

I was measuring my interaction speed yesterday for the speed click event and I capped at about 300 interactions/min when clicking with a single-button mouse (my usual method). Today I have been trying a few different ways of interacting (still all manual; clicking with a single-button mouse, clicking on a single-button mouse but moving my wrist to click instead (hard to explain), finger-tapping on my screen, and tapping on my screen with my digital pen) and timing them to see what is most efficient for me. So far, I've found that using the pen has been slightly faster and has put less strain on my wrist. This is NOT what I worry might violate site terms.

This is what I wanted to ask about: I found that I could interact especially quickly if I move the pen across the screen while rapidly clicking the single "left-click" button on the pen (Wacom Active Stylus Pen for LG gram 2-in-1; it came with my laptop and I think the buttons can be customized, but I have it where one button is left-click and the other is right-click which I think is the default). I haven't measured how fast it actually was, but it seemed different enough from my normal interaction speed that I wanted to ask before trying it again to see if there's anything I'm missing that would violate site rules. I can try to get a video of it if I have permission to do so as a demonstration.

AGAIN, I am NOT going to try this again unless I hear from a mod that it's okay. I've been here since 2015 and am intent on upholding the rules of fair engagement on this site. Sorry for the essay, I might be overthinking it. Thank you for your time and patience.

I'm not a mod but I say it's fine.

You aren't using external software as stated in the rules, you aren't using specialised hardware either (the example given was two left click buttons. The pen you are using doesn't sound like a specialised hardware, unless you customise it to have two left click buttons (if that is possible).

Since it seems that you are only clicking with a pen, it should be fine. Using two devices for interacting isn't against the rules afaik, so using a pen shouldn't be against the rules either.

Even if you are using a pen and the mouse, that would essentially be two devices clicking at the same time, or butterfly clicking.

Don't take my words too seriously tho.
