I got a special code on the wonder trade at the same day as the shiny wonder trade. I redeemed it and hatched a regular, not shiny Ho-oh. This made me think. Can you tell if you get a shiny Ho-oh code or is it the same message as the regular code (Congratulations!
You received a secret Pass Code for your last Wonder Trade:)
Does it mention Shiny wonder trade instead if you get a shiny code?
You can redeem the code on both the wonder trade or the shiny wonder trade. Is that different? I redeemed the code on the normal wonder trade page so i don't know if that made me miss out on a potential shiny Ho-oh. Or does a normal code not work on the shiny page?

Sorry if i asked too much but i can't find information anywhere and i fear i redeemed at the wrong place and missed a shiny because of it :(

I do know even if you get a shiny wonder trade code, it is not always going to be shiny, just a chance to be. I guess it does not matter where you redeem the code. It might be that the code itself determines the shiny or no shiny part.

As someone who got a Ho-oh code from shiny wonder trade a month ago and hatched a shiny Ho-oh, I can say at least the message is the same. I don’t know if redeeming the code on the normal wonder trade page versus the shiny one changes anything though. I made sure to redeem mine on the shiny page because of the same suspicion.

I completely forgot you can redeem it at the shiny page. I might have missed out on a shiny but i blame the game for not being clear about it. Now i just have to wait another 9 years for my next chance i guess.

Update on what i learned today.

Today i got a normal wonder trade Ho-oh code.
I went to try and redeem the code on the shiny wonder trade page and i did in fact get an egg.
This likely means it does not matter where you enter the code to redeem it, and the code itself determines if it is shiny or not. So the other day i simply recieved a non-shiny code :)
