How does one add their Pokémon to a thread? I have seen comments with trainer's Pokémon that allow to be trained from there.

Under the "Community" tab, choose "Share Widgets". There you can choose the Pokemon you want to display. To use it on PH, use the BB-Code provided. But remember not to post those widgets in your normal forum posts. You can use them in your signature or your profile page for example :)
