I just got a gem cauldron after a month of procrastinating, and i saw a cauldron logo at the top right with a bug gem on it saying 18 gems left, and a bug gem above it. Does anyone know what this means?

When playing the Cauldron Minigame, you will see the Cauldron with a Gem inside. There will also be Gems displayed below the Cauldron. Your task is to click on the Gem under the Cauldron, that is the same Gem as shown inside of the Cauldron.

Like if you have Bug Gem, Fire Gem and Water Gem under the Cauldron, and the Cauldron shows the Bug Gem, you have to click on the Bug Gem under the Cauldron ^^ The "X Gems left" texts shows how often you have to click on the correct Gem to succesfully finish the minigame. The red text on the top left shows the remaining time before minigame fails
