"Oh, um-" Uh oh. What did she say to that. Anything? Nothing? Leave it at that? Let them hash it out? She had absolutely no clue. She just hoped they would resolve it sooner or later. They deserved to have a resolution to their conflicts.

Mercy blushed at that and looked at him for a solid five seconds before reluctantly letting go of his hand. She was always warm, but the extra warmth was nice while it lasted. She looked down at her lap.

Mercy looked up at him and fixed her own bun, making sure none of the tips were poking out. Of all the people she didn't want to worry, it was Kendo. He knew what would happen to her if she told him she got struck by lightning.

Mercy stayed with Lydia. She felt that it would be better if someone were there for her, and that someone would be Mercy. "We have a close bond... But I don't ever think he'd see me like that. But you... He used to always talk about you. And how fun you were. And how sweet you were. And how... I reminded him of you. I'm sorry your relationship with him has deteriorated to this degree."

Meanwhile, in another corner of the world, Moon took a mental inventory of the room she found herself locked in. There was fancy food and wine set out on a tray. She sniffed the wine experimentally. Yep, Moon was not touching that bottle. And the food was unnecessary as well, Moon wouldn't be eating that anytime soon.

In the wardrobe were changes of clothes, the perfect size for her. The outfits were dark, but rich in color. They rivaled the ridiculous brand names she had been forced to wear in Manhattan. Although come to think of it, the styles were slightly more revealing than Moon would have liked.

Mounted on an ornate table was a gramophone with a half dozen or so records. Moon only recognized two: an extensive New Orleans Jazz mix and the complete soundtrack from the Harry Potter films. The others were foreign to her. She popped the jazz on low, and listened to the soothing arpeggios of a lead tenor sax.

But a thought was nagging at Moon. It wasn't until she reopened the wardrobe that she was able to put her finger on what it was. This room had been set up like Bliss had been expecting someone.

That scared Moon greatly.

It was never meant to be.

She was actually crying now.

"Not at all, Lydia." She smiled softly and placed her hand on Lydia's head. "You're not unlikeable at all. You're a fun girl. You aren't hyper, you're just more bubbly and positive. If people don't realize that, then that's their loss." She eventually wrapped her arms around Lydia, slowly, to give her a chance to pull away if she didn't want it. "Can I be your friend, Lydia? You've been nothing but a joy to be around. I won't leave- I really can't, even if I wanted to, so you'll have me for m quote a while. You might even get sick of me sometime." She chuckled.
