A young girl saw 3 white crows fly to a bench a mile away from where her and her Mom’s bench were.

“Ma, Look! Some birds are a mile away from us!”

“Hm, those are some pretty birds,” her mom looked up at the birds immediately as she said that.

“There like angels, right ma?”

“Like angels.”

“Hey, ma! I made a drawing for you,” the girl looked above, no sight of her mom. I swear she was just here 4 minutes ago.

“Milly, your ma- she has polio- which is a very bad illness,” her dad came into the room and told her, the girl, Milly, didn’t believe him.

“NO! She was here just a few minutes ago, LIAR!” When her dad left the room, she burst into tears. She knew what polio was, it was an illness you could DIE from. No. No. I need you here MaMa she said in her head. She couldn’t stop crying that night, she wanted her ma to kiss her goodnight but instead nobody did. She wanted a bedtime story but she didn’t get one. She wanted her Ma but she might leave her forever, and so on it went. She did leave her, she died a few days later, she was gone, dead, never to see her daughter again.

The girl started high school. It didn’t start out very well, somebody was stalking her drawings.

“Alright Class, can I get some helpers to pass out the About Me sheets?” when the teacher asked that a boy starting looking at her drawing in her notebook.

“Hey! Is that-“ the boy asked, but paused for a second to see if the teacher was looking, then he kept speaking.

“A bird? No 3 birds? White ones, with really feathery wings and is flying to a bench?”

“Yes- now will you stop stalking my artwork?”

“I will… but… are birds your favorite?”

“They were, ‘til my mom past away.”

The boy paused and frowned. He didn’t like deaths but it was just life, so he just smiled, “I know what will cheer you up!” The girl glared, “gum!” The boy yelled to her. The girl frowned, shook her head, then went back to drawing. The boy frowned, “tough cookie,” he went back to work. But, he was still sad about her mom.

School was over and her dad had a chat with her.

“How was your day, and how did you do?”

“Today was terrible and I did good.”

“Terrible?! How?”

“Boy equal stalking my artwork.”

“Suck it up,” her dad had a mean look on his face, why are girls kinda rude to boys he thought.

The girl rolled her eyes and went back to drawing the birds, she was almost finished. Just a few more touches she said in her head. Then, finally she was done, it looked perfect.

Just like a Silhouette she thought.
