The sky is to blame.

(A girl, Rhuna, on a world called Lubrae. Two suns shine eternally. One eternally shining in the light, and one eternally shining in the darkness.)

Rhuna's POV

Lubraeans were all wanderers before the "Traveler" arrived, supposedly a huge white "machine". The people never fought with each other, we were equal.

When the Traveler arrived on my Lubrae, it granted us the power of the light. After a while, it left us. Left us with a mess. Abandoned us. Why? WHY? After the Traveler departed from my Lubrae, our people... divided, and Lubrae cracked in half, creating a chasm. Two fractions fought with each other. Clans. The Regime, who dwelled in the cities of Lubrae, hunted the Lubraeans who did not follow their ways.

These Lubraeans were called the Wanderers. Outcasts that lived outside of the cities, in the Wildlands. When the Umbral sun, the dark sun, arose, the Wildlands became very hazardous. Carnivorous flora awakened, and malicious beats prowled. The Regime, though, dwelled in peace. With the Sapphic Converter, a device which gains light from the Light sun, created a protective barrier for the city. Only ones with access are aloud past the barrier.

Every twilight, Stalkers, guards of the Regime, would leave the city of Lubrae and slaughtered the Wanderers.

I was apart of the Regime, but only for their power. Then I joined the Wanderers, because I hated the light and the Traveler, but then I returned to the Regime. Only because they didn't try to stop my bloodlust. They liked it, really.

Now, my Lubrae was shattered, broken. Soon, Lubrae... will die.

WARNINGS: Graphic Violence, Blood

Inside the city of Lubrae...

Rhuna walks among the halls in the main building of Neomuna, where the best Stalkers of the city dwell. A very valuable artifact, the Sapphiric Converter, is at the center of the building, and that is what Rhuna is after. She holds her glaive tightly in her hands, attempting to blend in with the other Stalkers as she slowly makes her way to the center.

"Rhuna," One of the stalkers spoke behind her, his name being Yhyra. He has been following her for a while now. "What are you doing? You have been acting weird for a while now."

Rhuna stayed silent for a few moments. "Looking for my... lost children. They were running around here earlier."

Yhyra gave her a suspicious glance, and Rhuna held her breath. "Ah, understandable. Hope ya find 'em." He said before walking away.

Rhuna finally let her breath out and continued walking. She had to be fast, her children were waiting. Eventually, she reached the Sapphiric Converter. She quickly snatched the Converter and ran quietly, as the alarms had just rung. Guards came by and pointed their glaives at her, surrounding her in a circle. Rhuna didn't even need a moment to think before fighting them. Rhuna punctured the leader of the Stalker raid and twisted his chest open, blood splattering on her face. "You want more..?" Rhuna snarled as she slowly turned her head towards the Stalkers shaking behind her, her pupils dilated. She grasped her glaive ever-so tightly as she paced towards the Stalkers. One by one, the Stalkers lives were taken away. Some of the Stalkers heads were decapitated, and some ripped apart to death.

Rhuna grinned with her bloody teeth as she looked at the helpless dead bodies below her before vanishing back to the Wildlands, where her children were. Her son, Vhulk, and Rhula, her daughter. She slowly and cautiously walked into the Wildlands and into the Wanderer Clan's territory. The Clan gathered to see the returning warrior, covered in blood. She has completed her mission. To retrieve the Sapphiric Converter. Rhuna's Clan-mother and Clan-father walked up to her to see the artifact in her hands.

"An impossible mission we sent you on," Kheesa, the Clan-mother spoke softly. "And you were able to retrieve the Converter. How?"

"Mercy is not a thing in my world. Not after what the Regime did." Rhuna said coldly.

"I agree, they are traitors, but mercy should still-"

"No. They say purpose questioned is healthy. Perhaps aimlessness does not plague you. Futility, however..."

Kheesa took the Converter from Rhuna and walked away. "We are done. We will celebrate tonight. At the meantime, have your rest. Kheesa said as she walked away.

EXILE

The Wanderer Clan was celebrating. They have retrieved a time-lost artifact. Rhuna didn't do anything other than "drink" Xrusia (Their native acholic drink) the entire time. The clan children, even her own children beckoned her to join them, but she declined every request. As she was drinking, she was watching her children play with the other children. She was being to trust the other children at first, that was until one of the clan-children's pet Yhadt started attacking Vhulk. Rhuna shot up and grabbed the Yhadt, and gave a death glare to the child.

"Hey! Give Dur back!" The child screamed, creating a scene. The Lubraeans watched, many eyes focused on Rhuna and the child.

Rhuna growled. "All actions have consequences. And so, you will learn by this experience." She said, pissed.

Rhuna relentlessly ripped Dur in half, organs spilling out of the creature, blood on Rhuna's hands and floor, and dropped the worthless creature on the floor. The child was shook, frozen in his place shaking helplessly. "DUR!!" The child screamed. The clan was horrified, and so was Rhula and Vhulk. Vhulk was super angry at Rhuna for doing that.

"MOM! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?"

"That thing is helpless. It attacked your brother. Don't yell at me."

Fhent, the Clan-father, stepped in. "You are a monster. Monsters are not welcome in this clan."

"BUT I HAVE DONE EVERYTHING FOR YOU!" Rhuna hissed. "WENT ON A SUICIDE MISSION FOR SOMETHING JUST FOR POWER! Why must you HATE violence?"

Nothing else was said, and she was exiled. She was now stuck in between the City and the Wildlands. Stuck in an area- chasm. The Abyss.
