I started tensing up as I walked to class. You got this, just one last spell and you'll have half Abominations classes and half free periods. I walked into the mostly empty auditorium with only a teacher in the far back and a stage with random items. I walked onstage, sighed, and played.

As I strummed my ukulele, the items started floating. I began playing alternating G and F chords as the items slowly withered and decomposed, before eventually fading into pure black magical energy. I stopped playing, my heart pounding.

I started playing once more, this time shifting to play tablature, strumming the lines in a slow rythm as the black energy slowly formed back into the items. I finished the song and looked up to see how I did.

Relief surged through me as my classmates clapped and even the teacher gave a small smirk. "You passed. As per your request, you will now be dual-tracking Bard and Abominations, although I find no need for you to study bard magic anymore considering your incredible progress. Regardless, it will be helpful for student examples. You may have the day off as a reward, feel free to spend it wherever you wish, even in classrooms so long as you don't interrupt class. Now then, everyone back to normal class."

Eventually I came up with a schedule. I'd hop by the cafeteria, made two brown baggies of snacks, and head to the beastkeeping classroom.

I went down to the cafeteria and, 10 minutes later, quietly popped into the beastkeeping class before sitting next to Lydian. I set a brown bag of snacks on her desk and gave her a small smile.

I closed my eyes and listened to the lesson. I didn't understand much, but it was enough to learn how to tame a griffin.
