On this thread you share the first time you fail a shiny on a main game (red gyarados does not count) if you have prof (a picture or a video) you can share it as well

I was sos hunting a kanghaskhan on moon wen I found a shiny cubone, I decided to catch it and wait to ultramoon for evolving it wen suddenly it calls for help and appears non other that another green

M first shin fail was when I was playing pokemon Pearl and encountered a shiny bidoof...I wanted to catch it but only had a single pokeball left. Attacked it with confuse ray and then scratch to weaken it...it killed itself.
