*The frostbreath puts out the fire, but it just grew back, as Starfruit walked through it, still not getting hurt at all. She was still crying, but she had a manic face, and laughed crazily.
Starfruit: So? The truth hurts doesn't it? In this case, it hurts everyone. So, let the fire burn! Let it singe all of life!
*She laughs like a maniac until a unown dragon pushes her to the ground.
???: Stop you idiot! You're hurting everyone!
*The other dragon slaps Starfruit a bunch of times, too much to even count. Starfruit faints, and the other dragon gets up and smiles as she turns to the others.
???: Hello! Sorry about her, she just gets out of control sometimes!

Don't you know how to greet a new pal? Shake my hand.
Oh. They found a Warp Star. Which-a means... eventually... they'll-a stumble across the others. But don't-a worry... Mario get you next time!

*Frostbite stares at the unconscious RainWing, then at the dragon that knocked her out. He still looks scared, and his wings are twitching. Blizzard stares at the new dragon with a look of confusion and steps in front of Frostbite.*

Blizzard: Wha- Who in Pyrrhia are you?!

*She grabs Frostbite by the arm.

*She snorts as she let's him go.
MoonSeeker: I could kill all of you weaklings right now if I wanted too. But, I believe in second chances.

Frostbite: I-I- I wasn't going to make fun of your name! It's- It's a very n-nice name, in fact! *Frostbite pulls his arm back quickly & backs up with his wings flaring defensively. He looks like he thinks that Moonseeker is a potential threat. Blizzard was a bit startled by the statement that she "could kill all of them right now if she wanted to" & the icicles on his tail bristle up.*

Blizzard: Second chance? What did we do to take a first chance?! Why is she so… violent?

*Nightmare and Corvid narrow their eyes at her.*

*Starfruit gasps loudly as she sits up.

*Blizzard flinches in surprise, both at realizing Moonseeker can read minds, and at Starfruit's sudden awakening. Frostbite does the same, except he nearly falls over. Nightmare & Corvid both seem unsurprised by Moonseeker's response, but Corvid backs up from Starfruit as if she were a dead fish that had suddenly started flopping around again.*

Blizzard: Y-you're a mindreader?

Nightmare: Of course. Look at the scales behind her eyes. Silver teardrops, indicating she hatched under at least 1 full moon. *He points to his teardrop scales.* Same with mine, except I hatched under three. Do you IceWings know nothing about NightWing powers?

*Corvid snickers at the look of annoyance on Blizzard's face. Nightmare carefully scoops up Starfruit in one talon, and uses his other to help her stand back up. He seems to find her unnaturally large wingspan interesting.*

Nightmare, carefully holding one of her wings: Well, you're a peculiar little RainWing. What's your name, dragonet?

Autumn's POV

*Autumn smelled smoke coming from the beach she had just left and started to head back. Her wings were tired, but she could rest later.*

*Starfruit whacks Nightmare in the face with her wing from turning around quickly.
Starfruit: W-Whaaaaa?
*She turns to Nightmare
Starfruit: Oh three moons! I-I'm so sorry!!!
*She looks around in fear, and mumbles a bunch of words. MoonSeeker looks worried at her, and then looks away. She looks back after a few seconds, and walks over to Starfruit.
MoonSeeker: Don't just think like that!
*She slaps Starfruit
MoonSeeker: Have some sense!
*Starfruit started tearing up, but she didn't cry.
MoonSeeker: Look at me Starfruit. You shouldn't think things like that. Especially when I know your personality.
*Starfruit whacks her with her wing, but this time it was on purpose.
Starfruit: Stop slapping me! You don't know what it's like to be a murderer!
*Starfruit flys away, flapping her huge wings. MoonSeeker chuckles a bit.
MoonSeeker: You clearly don't know me Star.
*She turns to Nightmare, and slaps him.
MoonSeeker: This is all YOUR fault. You stupid smart dragon. And don't examine me. I don't like smart people, especially when they try to know everything.
*A shot of blood hits MoonSeeker on the eye. She looks shocked and scared at the same time. A loud laugh came from near her.
Starfruit with blood dripping from her mouth: Like my aim? It's getting better.
*She sounds so innocent but she has fear and hate in her eyes. MoonSeeker looks too scared to speak. She looks at all the other dragons that are there. She pushes them.
MoonSeeker: Run!!!
*Starfruit tackles her.

Nightmare, with smoke rising from his nostrils: What did I do?! *He snarls in frustration, but calms himself down a bit before picking up the fighting dragons and putting them down in two different spots. He stretches his wing between them like a wall to keep them from fighting. Frostbite seems uneasy about these two dragons, but Blizzard just stares at them blankly. Nightmare turns to Moonseeker after giving Starfruit a gentle pat on the head.* Literally what did I do to deserve you slapping me?

*MoonSeeker tried to talk, but only little noises came out.
Starfruit: Let me go! I must practice my aim.
*She smiled as she said.
Starfruit: She loves to slap people. She loves to slap people for no reason!
*MoonSeeker tried to slash the wing, but how huge it was confused her. Starfruit blinked rapidly, and looked around. She fell to the ground.
Starfruit: W-What did I do?! Everything is a blur, and I don't remember anything...
*She looks over at Nightmare.
Starfruit: Hello! Who are you again? Why are your wings so big? I think Nightwings are awsome!
*She measured her wing to his. It was only a few inches apart. She looked a little upset, and turned away.
Starfruit: I-I'm sorry...It's just...I remembered how much of a freak I am...

Snowstroller walked up to Nightmare. Her eyes lit up upon hearing she wasn’t the only one.

“T-Three? As in… The Brightest Night?! I… It was me, too! I heard that NightWings get all those cool powers and all…! But… I never got any. Is it because I’m not really a NightWing? How come you got all of them and me not? I have so many questions and so little answers…”

Nightmare: Perhaps it was too cloudy on your hatching day. I honestly can't think of another explanation. You look a lot like most other NightWings I've seen, but you may have IceWing DNA. I can't see how that would keep you from having NightWing powers…

Blizzard: What are you talking about? She looks almost nothing like an IceWing!

Corvid, walking over to Snowstroller: Doesn't mean it's not in her family line anywhere.

MoonSeeker: This Skywing is right. But, does it really matter? I mean, I've never known my parents or why they named me like a Nightwing, but I'm fine with it! I was informed my parents left me to die, so I'll never miss them. And what's with me being able to read minds?
*She looks over to SnowStroller, and points her claw at her.
MoonSeeker: You. Weird dragon. You said you didn't have any powers, correct?

Nightmare: Maybe your parents or grandparents were from two different tribes. My parents are- …were NightWings, but I got SkyWing DNA from my grandfather, who passed it to my mother, who passed it to me. That's why my wings are so big, even compared to my already enormous size. In fact, maybe you had a NightWing parent and a SkyWing parent, just like my grandparents were.

Corvid: Well, then no wonder I'm so much more NightWing-ish than SkyWing-ish! My sister must've gotten the dominant SkyWing traits.

Nightmare: Precisely. And as for mind-reading, that's an ability exclusively for NightWings, and we get it from hatching under at least one full moon. One moon gives prophecy or mindreading, two gives both, & three makes the first two stronger. You must've hatched under one, because I don't think you're a prophet.

Starfruit: Wow, really? That's amazing!
*She looks at Nightmare, then Corvid in excitement. Then glances at her wings.
Starfruit: I wonder if I'm a hybrid...
*She jumps up in even more excitement.
Starfruit: That would be really awsome!!! What tribe do you think I'd be?
*She giggles.
Starfruit: I mean, I was born without wings...Maybe a Silkwing/Rainwing? Ohhhhh...That'd be so cool!!!!

Frostbite: Ha! Those NightWings deserve to hear that! She's not wrong, they're definitely annoying. And yet, I have feelings for Stargazer… I think? Ugh, emotions are so unnecessarily confusing.

Corvid: Hey! NightWings aren't dumb or boring! You SkyWings can't read minds or see the future. We're probably some of the coolest dragons on Pyrrhia, right? *He turns to Nightmare, & the two dragons stare at each other for a few moments.*

Nightmare: Corvid, each tribe has its own specialties and unique traits. No tribe is superior to the others. Keep in mind, your own mother was a SkyWing, so you don't have any reason to mock SkyWings. Understood?

Corvid: S-sorry father, I got too excited.

Nightmare: It's alright.

Blizzard, to Starfruit: You look nothing like a SilkWing, though.

Blizzard: Why are Corvid and Nightmare staring at each other? Can NightWings with the ability to read minds communicate by thinking at each other?

Frostbite: What's going through her head right now? Does she like me? Does she think I'm weird? I'll bet it's the second one; Normal IceWings don't whimper like frightened seal pups when confronted by a stranger. No wonder my sister says I'm a runt…

*Frostbite's wings droop a little bit, but he regains his normal, proud stance.*

Frostbite: No. You are an IceWing, Frostbite. You're as good an IceWing as any other one in your tribe. And IceWings shouldn't mope around like sad reindeer.

Blizzard: What's with the SkyWing? Is she embarrassed about something? She's probably glad I'm not a mindreader. I'm glad I'm not a mindreader! Being able to hear thoughts would be really confusing for me.

Nightmare, to Starfruit: You have a very… unusual method of defense. If it's possible, I'd like to know why you're so different from most RainWings I've met.

Stargazer's POV

*Stargazer finally remembers the mental map Cryo showed her and manages to find the cave he went in. She practically collapses on the ground because her wings are tired.*

Stargazer: Cryo! I-I'm here. Ow, my wings are sore…

Stargazer: I should've just used animus magic to find him. That would've been much faster and easier.

Stargazer: W-what are you doing… in here?

Axolotl/Stingray's POV

*Axolotl was now laying down in her room, reading The Animus Histories. Stingray was in the library, working on one of his stories. He was having a hard time coming up with what to write next, and he was curious as to what was happening back on the beach. He set down his inkwell and went to Axolotl's room.*

Stingray: Axolotl? I'm just letting you know that I'm going back to the beach, okay? I'll tell your brother to keep an eye on you.

Axolotl: Yeah, that's fine.

Stingray, walking off: Don't sneak out while I'm gone.

Axolotl, rolling her eyes I won't, Stingray.

MoonSeeker: Normal? *Snort* Normal dragons don't exist. Sure, there are a lot of scrolls with boring dragons and don't have much to talk about, but who reads those?
*Starfruit is annoyed that everyone is ignoring her.
Starfruit (Thinking): Are they all wrapped up in MoonSeeker? Do they think she's pretty? I mean, she is very beautiful...But, if they just don't notice me, I think I'll try to find that one Icewing. I think he just needs some love.
*Starfruit smiles.
Starfruit (Thinking): It might have been an accident that he shot me with ice, and he wasn't thinking! I'll go try to find him with the map he used.

Nightmare: You're not a freak. In fact, for hundreds of years before the volcano erupted, all of the NightWings didn't have those powers, and nobody called them freaks. Stop telling yourself you're a freak. That goes for you too, Starfruit. You're the most unique, interesting RainWing I've ever met before, and your wings are amazing. The other RainWings should be jealous of them.
