i feel like after battling the pokemon so much, the pokemon should actually runaway from you because you hurt it!!

But they can't run away as they are trapped in the pokeballs. Trainer can take them back in the pokeball anytime. They are like slave or friend whatever you wish to see them.
And also, most Pokemons love to battle, as they get experience from it and they grow.
While, if they even get hurt in the battle, they will never run away as its trainer is only the one which provides it food and love. They act just like a dog and will do whatever for their master's protection and wishes.
