Jackie finally killed her last victim, then went inside her palace, all bloody. She sat on her throne bordley, as the guards stood by her side. A red, long carpet in front of her seat, that lead all the way to the entrance. Jackie didn't care about nothing else, but finding a King. All the years, she was lonely, and had nobody. Jackie frowned at the thought of being lonely. She went outside her palace, and sat behind the front door, looking at the bright sky sadly.

On the other side of the world, in an area of solitude, a boy sat down on a beach, watching a sunset. The waves lapped at his ankles, and white sand glittered in the dying sun. Grey feathered wings shifted happily in the cool breeze, pinching his pale skin. His blue eyes watched the colours in the sky interestedly, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. The island, tiny in size, was his paradise. No one apart from him lived there, and that was how it was going to stay. He hoped.

He got up slowly, shifting the sand underneath him and quietly walked to a small hut, made out of palm-tree leaves and wood. The boy brushed off the white grains of sand off him, shook his aquamarine hair quickly, and stepped inside the plain hut. Inside, was your basic furniture, a small bed, table, chair, bookshelf with and abundant amount of books, and a torn, red rug. Simple, but yet so peaceful in his eyes. The tropical caws of parrots was music to his ears, he loved the brightly coloured birds.

One sat perched on the side of his bed, a bedraggled, pale coloured one. It was the boy's favourite. It wasn't his pet, but the boy cared for the lonely bird, feeding it scraps of coconut and seeds. The boy sat on his bed and pondered a thought that had been bugging him for a long time. What should he call the bird? The bird gave a caw of sadness and fluttered closer to the boy, it's ragged grey feathers matching the boy's wings. He frowned as he gave the animal a small hug.

It cawed affectionately, and flew to the other side of the room, and began to peck at some coconut. The boy heaved another heavy sigh as he lay on his bed, staring at the ceiling.

Jackie walked around her palace, trying to get her mind off of all the stress. She then stumbled on the ground, and angrily grunted. She got off the ground and dusted herself off, and sighed. She then had an idea that ring in her mind like an alarm. She changed her clothes to look more human like, and opened a portal, and left the Underworld. She ended up on the other side of the world, on a tropical-like island. The waters shined along with the sand, and the bright sun was slowly fading away. Jackie spotted a house made of palm trees and wood, but didn't interfere. She sat on the sand in front of the house, and watched the waves of the water in awe.

Melancholy got up with a start. He flew to the beach, an angry expression on his face. "WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING? THIS IS A PRIVATE ISLAND, GET OUT!" He shouted. The sand swirled into a mini tornado, and the waves grew angry and began to crash against each other. Wind whipped past him and the girl, making his grey feathers fly everywhere. His stormy eyes studied the girl critically. "Who are you?" he boomed in a less angry voice, and more curious.

Jackie jumped at the yell, and crouched on the ground, putting her hands on her head. "D-DON'T HURT ME!!" She yelled, scared.

"I'm not going to hurt you! I just want to know...who are you, and what are you doing here?" The boy asked, confused. The wind died down, the tornado disappeared, but the waves stayed the same. The waves grew higher and higher, turning darker and darker.

"M..my name is J-Jackie N-Ness..a..and I was just..w-walking around, is a-all.." Jackie said, her hands now on her stomach. She hoped the boy wouldn't hurt her..

He sighed. "Well...this is a private island. So, get out." He snapped, turning away from her.

"And the name is Melancholy. Melancholy Griffins."

Jackie winced at Melancholy's words, and sadly opened her portal to reveal a black castle, with fire flaming around it, as she walked inside it and left the island.

Melancholy watched the castle with a little awe.

Who...was the girl? And where...did she come from?

Feeling slightly guilty with himself, he sat down on the sand, rubbing his face wearily. He sighed, suddenly exhausted.

"Should I have shooed her away? Or...should I have let her stay for the night? She could've been lost..."

What was her name? Jackie?

Yes, it was Jackie. A pretty name.

'For a pretty girl' He thought.

Melancholy slapped himself at the thought.

Jackie didn't know that she left the portal open by accident. She changed back into her Queen form and went inside the palace. She angrily stormed inside it, angrily talking to herself about how dumb she was.

Melancholy frowned as he noticed the portal, still open. Had the girl made a mistake? Or was it merely an invitation to her mysterious land?

He didn't care. He dissolved into pure thoughts of sadness, and glided into the portal.

A deathly sight met Melancholy's eyes. He was floating in a very deathly castle, surrounded by blood, gore and darkness. Charcoal-clad servants walked to and fro around him. Melancholy frowned.

What was this place? Who was the girl?

He noticed a beautiful Queen in a black, bloody dress, and the sudden realisation hit him.

Jackie...the girl...was...the Queen!?

Jackie then frowned. "I can't do anything right.." she sadly said, as black wings grew from her back. She grabbed her crown with a skull on the tip, and looked around for her staff, as she found it and happily grabbed it. She then spun it around her, as dark magic entered the skull's mouth from the crown.

Melancholy watched her with awe.

"What on earth?" He whispered to himself.

He stepped closer.

Jackie grew black angel wings, and a crooked grey halo in her head that was cracked a bit. She sighed. There was a mark on her neck. It looked like the indent of a necklace. "Now I have to make another plan on how to get to Earth." She said.
