Ryoiya sighs and Alcanta both speak simultaneously, though the
dragon of course speaking in her own language instead. "Pulselings
is a pretty neat name."
The man who just jumped off his dragon grabbed Grian's shoulder and
sighs, speaking into his walkie talkie. "Two delinquents. One had
to be forced to land, the other defended and Flusstrom is on his
way." He sighs and then turns back to Grian. "Now as for you... for
you, I am Mr. Passelte and you're in trouble. Unless you're willing
to cooperate."
The noise in the caves got a lot noisier, as if the source came
closer rapidly. The voice that accompanied it got more
understandable too, before it was drowned out by a large crushing
sound, right before a short red-head, covered in dirt and mud
appeared in front of Zynx, with her just staring without any
expressions. "Hey. You belong to the academy?"
"Threatening a teacher... yeesh, you're about as predictable as
yesterday's weather." She blurted out, her gaze unfased by Zynx's
words. "I'm Exca. Better come with me you two, before... you
know... accidents occur." With a little sigh, another roar sounded
up, this time a lot closer... and from several directions at once.
You know the first rule in combat?
Shoot them before they shoot you.
"None of that is my concern, only that the principal wants you in
her office. So either we do it without a hitch or... let's just say
the blade will be turned to you, if you don't." She crosses her
arms, getting closer while still maintaining this face of zero
care.

Zynx knew this teacher meant business. Zephyr turned her head, a
growl in her throat. She hopped onto Zephyr's back, her head
scraping the rock ceiling. "Can I quit the school?"
"At the end of the semester, when you fail all courses. Or when you
do something so heinous that you get expelled. Though that comes at
a hefty price itself. And before you try to escape... Astheno?
Roadblock." She called out, as the strange roar sounds up again
before a few stomps caused a cave collapse right behind Zephyr,
sealing the tunnel behind, while Astheno, the wide dragon of Exca,
broke through the rock ceiling and landed behind the teacher.
Zynx stared at Zephyr. Stall. Everything was about stalling. "Well,
would you like to se my knife?" Zynx raised it. About 1 cm from the
tip of the blade, there was a 4 cm ring of black stuff. "Guess what
it is."
Miss Exca just gave a sigh, leaning on the wall. "I was a student
not long before, you're just buying yourself some time. Trust me,
I've been in your spot. Just come along with me... It'll be over
quicker. And it will make it easier for the both of us." Astheno
meanwhile looked at Zephyr and just gave a nod towards her partner,
while giving a low growl, it's voice sounding like a heavily
modified synthesizer.
Zynx's mind whirled. "Alright. I'm coming, but I'm not paying any
attention to anybody, not any teachers. I will go to school, but
don't expect me to listen."
"Do what you want. If you fail this opportunity, don't complain to
us." She sighs and nods to Astheno, who quickly started digging in
a seemingly random direction. "Follow the dragon."
You know the first rule in combat?
Shoot them before they shoot you.
Zephyr headed out, taking a path with more turns than necessary.
Obviously, both rider and dragon were displeased. When they were
outside. Zephyr lay down on her belly, refusing to go anywhere else
until her emotions were calmed. Zynx scratched behind Zephyr's
horns absentmindedly.
Miss Exca sighs, as they dug another way and soon enough burst out
of the ground, only a few meters in front. "I thought those
instructions would be clear... unless you got a valid excuse, don't
make me get to the surface."
Astheno looked out soon and gave Exca a rough nod on her back, as a
sort of sign to hold back. Hesitant, she retreats into the hole,
while Astheno jumped out himself and took slow and gentle steps
towards the two, before coughing out a piece of dug-out metal and
sliding it their way.
You know the first rule in combat?
Shoot them before they shoot you.
Zynx raised her head, seeing the metal. She glared, and glanced at
her knife, shaking her head at the metal. Zephyr snorted, and took
flight without Zynx.
Astheno sighs, walking back to her partner before both get to the
surface and make a call on their walkie talkie. "Rine? Yeah, the
other two are goners, they're back in the air. Nothing out of the
ordinary, threatened me with a knife and all that. Is Passelte
ready?"
You know the first rule in combat?
Shoot them before they shoot you.
Grian was caught by someone. No escape. Yet. Luckily, he had
trained Qwexdz for this kind of thing. He tapped Qwex's top left
scale 5 times, indicating plan z3et9. Also known as the swoop
switch. Qwex got ready to jump, then pounced while Grian passed
through the tunnel wall. Or at least, it looked like he was. He was
actually hiding in a nook on the cave roof, while Qwex made some
illusions. What actually happened was Qwex launched him up while
making it look like Grian passed through the wall. Grian noted down
that he needed a disguise next time. But there was still the
teacher who would remember this. There was still the other student
in the cave, possibly in danger. Then he came up with phase two of
the plan. Time for something new....
