It was a sunny day in Shinjuku at the Matsuda bakery. Takato yawned as he got up “Ready for some more adventures today, boy?” He asked his partner, Guilmon. “Yep! I’m always ready, Takatomon!” He said with glee. Takato soon got dressed and bolted downstairs, Guilmon following behind him. “I’m going out!” He said to his parents as he went out the door with a confident smile on his face.

Meanwhile at Hypnos HQ; suddenly there was an alarm going off “A wild one is emerging! Send the tamers to neutralise it!” A blonde man in a suit holding a lighter called out to his fellow colleagues.

“Takatomon, I smell a digimon! It’s a really big one… probably really strong too!” Guilmon said whilst sniffing the air, running off to meet their newest foe in the digital field. Takato quickly activated his D-ark and called his friends Jian and Rika to know about the situation. Soon after, a yellow blur passed by with amazing speed. ‘Renamon! Rika! Nice timing!’ He thought as he clutched his D-ark and looked at the nearby alleyway, there he saw a familiar face running to meet him, Jian! The group soon gathered up with Justimon arriving a little late to the battle, they soon began their attack on the digimon known as Parallelmon

The 3 remaining human tamers held up their D-arks. “Matrix evolution!” They all said in sync, slashing their cards and fusing with their respective digimon partners.

Dukemon, Saintgargomon and Sakuyamon appeared, replacing where the tamers stood “Royal Saber!” Dukemon called out, unleashing his attack but it was interrupted by Parallelmon quickly using Absorbent Bang and a portal sucked all of them into another dimension; then Parallelmon being smart, fled before it got noticed.

The 4 tamers fell into the new world, suddenly de-digivolving back to their respective Rookie forms “This was slightly unexpected…” The red scarved Monodramon said whilst falling. Meanwhile Jian was screaming as he fell down to the depths of the new cyber world they were in, Ryo quickly followed him “You guys get to higher ground and try to figure a way out of this place, alright?!” He shouted up to Takato and Rika. Rika quickly adapted to her new body and grabbed Takato, swiftly got onto a nearby platform and placed him down.

“Thanks, Rika” The small Guilmon with yellow goggles smiled “Wait a minute, we’re digimon?! Where’s Guilmon and our partners?!” He suddenly said in surprise, just now noticing his new red paws. Rika sighed and looked around, ignoring Takato “We seem to be in some sort of computery place…” Rika studied the place, noticing a nearby Terriermon “I think that’s Terriermon!” She guessed as she ran towards it. “Rika! Wait up!” Takato ran as fast as his legs could carry him, panting for breath.

A red haired girl and boy stumbled across the two tamers and the Terriermon “Woah, are those digimon like in the TV show?” The boy with goggles excitedly said as he saw them. Suddenly a white haired boy appeared with a Machinedramon by his side “Are any of these digimon yours?” He asked to the two siblings “No, uh.. Hey, Takumi remember that thing that was downloaded to our profiles? The… what was it called… Digimon capture? I think the Mr. Navit hacker wanted us to catch the digimon..” The red haired girl with the grey goggles spoke up.

“Huh.. sounds kinda suspicious but… Maybe I can take the Guilmon and you can take the Renamon?” Takumi said to his sister and he got a nod of approval “It seems that you want to capture these digimon, unfortunately the Terriermon has fled but you can have these. I’ll show you how the digimon capture works.” The white haired boy said to the Aiba’s, beginning his explanation.

Meanwhile Ryo and Jian accidentally got separated while trying to navigate Kowloon. “Jian, where are you?! The legendary tamer called out, looking for his friend, suddenly the world glitched around him but he didn’t notice.. or he just ignored it. Ryo wandered around for what seemed like days until finally, he found a person. He wore a green striped tank top, grey short pants, slippers and some sort of blue coat on his waist. Ryo cautiously approached him.

Ryuji turned around at the sound of footsteps, “Hm? What.. are you? Are you.. some sort of program?” He asked tons of questions to Ryo. ‘God, this is gonna be difficult to explain… I don’t really trust him yet, so.. I guess I’ll just use a cover for now.’ Ryo thought carefully.

“I’m a digimon called Monodramon! Who’re you?” Ryo asked Ryuji but that made him even more confused, “How.. can a program have free reign like this?” He asked the Monodramon but he suddenly noticed a download being complete on his digivice, “What the… ‘Digimon capture?’ I’ve never seen a program like this before.. Might as well give it a try if it’s related to this creature..” Ryuji said as he swiped up a translucent blue screen and tapped a button on it. Suddenly a blue ring materialised around Ryo and he poked it, curious as to what it was; but as soon as his claw touched it, it disappeared immediately afterwards into multiple pixels.

Ryuji jumped back a little in surprise as a small screen appeared, he read the text that said, Digimon capture: complete!

“This is really strange.. I’ll probably need to talk about this to Chitose..” he sighed.

Ryo, after touching the blue ring suddenly felt.. drawn to this person he only met a couple seconds ago.. ‘Strange.. since I’m a digimon now.. maybe it’s possible for me to get infected by programs and viruses just like any other computer…’ He thought curiously.

Ryuji walked away in thought of how digimon could exist in EDEN and logged out of the virtual cyberspace making Ryo, who was following him, suddenly go into his digivice.

“Huh? That digimon didn’t make its way into our world.. interesting..” Ryuji thought out loud idly whilst exiting the computer chair he was sitting on and logged off of the computer.

Jian was wandering around Kowloon when suddenly he felt someone pick him up by his ears.

“Heh, we’ve got a nice fresh digimon here.. Terriermon rarely appear in the wild on Level 1! This one’s ought to sell nicely!” The person who picked up Jian said with a smug look on his face. Jian was squirming and trying to get out of his captors grasp but to no avail. He suddenly got flung into a small, black cage. ‘Great.. now I can’t find Takato and the others.. That person said something about selling so.. maybe he’s connected to a market that sells digimon..? That’s just wrong! I need to stop this guy!’ He thought with a sigh, looking around to where his kidnapper brought him ‘Yup, as expected it’s a marketplace..’ Jian thought, looking sadly at all the digimon in cages.

Impmon sighed as he sat on the Matsuda bakery living room couch, pondering about where the tamers went off to.

“God dang it! Why’d they just up and disappear like that!” Impmon let his frustration out.

“Are you ok, Impmon?” Culumon wandered up to him on the couch, “Maybe we could go and look for them all again?” He suggested to the purple digimon.

“It’s been 3 weeks already, I doubt we’ll be able to find Toots and her friends..” Impmon said, starting to give up hope.

“Don’t worry! I’m sure we’ll be able to find them soon, Impmon!” Culumon said, still holding onto the hope he had.

“I guess I’ll search one more time, ya wanna come with me, Creampuff?” Impmon asked as he jumped off the couch; Culumon nodded happily, “Of course! We need to find them!” He said energetically. Impmon had a small smile on his face.

“Alright, let’s go” He said as he ran out the bakery with Culumon following him.

Outside the bakery, Parallelmon was searching for something using Absorbent Bang, creating many portals in the process.

“Damn, that looks like a strong digimon… Hey, Culumon do ya wanna give me a hand?” Impmon said to the small, white digimon. Culumon’s red triangle on his head glowed and Impmon started to digivolve. Beelzemon stood in the purple digimon’s place and he ran towards Parallelmon, Culumon jumping onto his shoulder.

Beelzemon tried to attack his foe but before he could do anything, Parallelmon slashed the air and suddenly used Absorbent Bang; both digimon got engulfed in a portal and appeared, falling from the sky. Beelzemon’s eyes turned green and activated his burst mode, his wings sprouting out of his back; Beelzemon flew down to the closest platform and surveyed the area.

“Where even are we? Did that digimon send us to an alternate universe or somethin?” He said whilst transforming back into his regular form. Culumon jumped off of Beelzemon’s shoulder and noticed a blue and white D-ark.

“It’s Ryo’s D-ark! Maybe he’s nearby!” Culumon said happily, picking it up in his paws.

Takumi and Ami were walking in Kowloon peacefully.

“So, what’re your names? If you have any, of course” Ami said to Takato and Rika.

“I’m Takato and this is Rika!” He said with a smile.

“You gogglehead! Takato, what if these people are working with Parallelmon?!” Rika argued with Takato.

“Hey! I think we can trust these two, they seem pretty friendly anyways!” Takato argued back. Meanwhile the Aiba twins were wondering about what sort of digimon Parallelmon was.

The group then stumbled into an orange pixelated wall with a lock on it.

“Huh? Wait, didn’t Yuugo say that these locks could only be opened by hackers?” Takumi said as he scratched his head in confusion.

“Guess we’ll have to come back here another time..” Ami replied with a sigh, walking the group deeper into Kowloon lvl 1.

The Aiba’s then meet up with another red haired girl and a brown haired boy in a white and blue hoodie.

“What took you so long?! I could’ve been stranded with Arata with no way out! And.. are those digimon?! Are you guys hackers now?!” Nokia said in surprise, noticing Takato and Rika. Arata pulled up a screen and unlocked a way out, “Huh?! Arata, you’re a hacker too?!” Nokia replied, but soon after she said that, the six of them were then attacked by a mysterious black and white creature with a red core.

“Run! Nokia, what’re you doing.. Don’t just stand there!” Arata shouted in surprise. Nokia immediately ran with Arata to the temporary logout zone.

“Watch out!” Takato suddenly warned them, but it was too late… The creature grabbed both of the Aiba’s while they were running and corrupted both of their logout processes.

The twins emerge in the real world as half-digitized entities in Shinjuku alongside Takato and Rika. A crowd was slowly gathering and people were taking pictures when a black car dashed onto the scene with the door open and swiftly picked all four of them up. The rescuer had long, blonde hair and pink sunglasses.

“You two have… interesting appearances.. I’m curious about you all..” She said, closing the door and driving off. Nearby a brown haired woman angrily shouted at the car as it was leaving.

“Hey!! Stop that car! I’ll arrest you, wait!” She said, running at the car and waving her handcuffs in the air, but she eventually stopped as she saw the car accelerating down the highway.

“I’m more used to strange phenomena than most.. But I’ve never seen the likes of this before.. Can you hear my voice? Can you speak?” The woman said, curious about the digitized twins. Takumi simply nodded.

“Good. I wasn’t sure what to do if you two weren’t human.. As for those digimon of yours.. How peculiar, programs in the real world..” She said to herself.

“Hey, where are we going?” Takoto said to the blonde haired lady.

“It’s a place named Nakano Broadway, the place is a shopping center but I have my headquarters there.. Hehe, I’ve been hoping for some assistants.” She replied to the goggled Guilmon.

“I see. So you have no idea what it is that happened to you two..” driving to a red building with the words NAKANO BROADWAY on it, she exited the car confidently. Takato noticed that Rika had been quiet for the whole car ride. ‘Maybe she’s thinking about something?’ He thought as he walked into the shopping center, looking around.

Keisuke Amasawa was accused of a crime he didn’t commit. The only person left trusting him was his childhood friend, Yu.

His Eden account had also been stolen. Using information provided by a mysterious hacker known as K, he found himself at a place known as the Digi-Market.

“Woah.. So, this is the Digimarket, huh?” Keisuke looked around, seeing all the digimon in cages. He spotted a nearby Terriermon in a locked cage.

“So this is a Digimon, huh? I don’t wanna seem out of place so I guess I’ll buy this one, I barely have any money anyways..” He mumbled to himself.

Keisuke walked up to the digimon seller, “Hey, can I buy that small rabbit digimon?” He asked, fishing out some change from his pocket.

“Sure, they were gonna be deleted anyways” The shopkeeper says, letting out Jian.
“God, that cage was cramped, I thought I was gonna be in there for my whole life!” He said, running out of his tiny cage.

“Don’t delete these creatures, just because they’re weak.. they have lives like us!” Keisuke didn’t know much about Digimon but he decided to free them, they were sort of like.. animals to him in a way. The salesman became angry at Keisuke for demanding such a thing, so summoned his Ogremon and Devimon to attack Keisuke.

Ryuji and Ryo suddenly appear to defend Keisuke and Jian also runs in to try and help defend Keisuke too; seeing this, Ryuji adds the Digimon capture program to Keisuke's Digivice which allows him to capture the Digimon. They then team up and defeat the salesman and then the other two Digimon flee from sight.

“Wait a minute, Ryo?!” Jian said as he returned to Keisuke.

“I knew I recognised that scarf! How’ve you been?” He asked the scarved Cyberdramon.

“I can’t really hear you well but I guess that’s to be expected since you’re a Cyberdramon now.. I think you asked me what I’ve been up to?” Jian said to Ryo, waiting for an answer. He just got a simple nod in reply.

“I uh.. guess that’s a yes? Well.. I was wandering around trying to find you but I got kidnapped..” he said with a sigh.

Keisuke smiled at the conversation the two former tamers were having. ‘They know each other? How strange..’ he thought In confusion.

“How would you like to be a member of Hudie, Keisuke?” Ryuji asked him.

“Uh, sure if it means helping people and Digimon like this!” He answered with a smile. Ryuji nodded. ‘Heh, he’ll be a good addition to the team’ he thought.

“I’ll introduce you to the other members of Hudie soon, here’s the directions to our headquarters” he said as he gave Keisuke a small paper slip which he accepted.

“See you later, Ryo!” Jian said as the two walked away from him and Keisuke. Jian jumped on Keisuke’s shoulder, “Huh, I guess this was why Terriermon liked jumping on my shoulder..” he idly said to no-one in particular.

“I guess I should log out.. By the way, do you have a name? It seemed like Ryo and you know each other..” Keisuke asked the small digimon on his shoulder.

“Oh, my name’s Jian! I used to have a Terriermon as a partner” Jian replied to him.

“How can digimon be partners with digimon? Unless you were human..” Keisuke thought out loud.

“My name’s Keisuke, by the way.. Oh right! I was logging off.. See you later then, Jian!” He said with a smile, logging off. Jian got sucked into his digivice as the logout process was doing it’s thing.

Jian opened his eyes suddenly to see darkness… like he was in a void.. “Where am I?” He asked himself as he looked around, seeing nothing but black void all around him… Except for one floating light green orb. He touched it but suddenly the orb was gone and the void slowly turned dark green.

“I.. don’t think I should’ve done that..” He nervously said as another Terriermon fizzled into existence like static.

“Jian! I thought I was gonna be all alone here!” The holographic, green Terriermon said joyfully.

“Wait.. Terriermon?” Jian said as the realisation struck him like a lightning bolt.

“How.. how are you here?!” He asked his partner.

“Momantai, Jian! I don’t know how I got here myself but as we were falling into the portal our consciousness split and I found myself here.. I was all staticy and stuff..” Terriermon tried to explain to the best of his ability.

“Hm.. I wonder if Ryo has something like this happening to him, too?” Jian idly thought as he flipped upside down in the green void.

“Huh.. this is sort of like a space station..” he said as he wondered what Keisuke’s world looked like.

(Finally after months of debating with myself I finally post another chapter-)

Keisuke was wandering around in Ikebukuro, trying to find Hudie’s HQ.

“I think this is it..” He stumbled across a sign displaying Hudie.

“Hm, I guess I’ll check it out,” Keisuke said as he entered the building.

As he walked into the cafe he looked around, ‘This is Hudie’s HQ? Looks more like a cafe but.. Pretty smart cover-up, Ryuji!’ Keisuke thought as he wandered over to the back of the room.

“Woah, they have computers here? I guess this is one of those internet cafes people talk about online..” He thought out loud as he sat down in a chair and browsed the apps.

“Cases?” Keisuke guessed this was for Hudie members only but hey.. He was going to be a member soon, right? Keisuke logged into Eden on one of the computers after accepting a random request.

“Oh, we’re back in Eden, huh?” Jian said as he looked around Under Kowloon lvl 1.

“Yep, if I’m gonna be a part of Hudie I’ll need to go to Eden almost everyday..” Keisuke replied to the small Terriermon. He made his way through the catacombs of Kowloon and arrived in the middle of something. Keisuke tilted his head like a dog would do confusedly. He heard two voices nearby, they sounded in trouble.

“Staaaahp!” A childish voice called out. “Heeeeelp!!!” Said another. Ryuji quickly arrived on the scene, “What the?!” Agumon and Gabumon appeared, running towards the group but stopping slightly far away from them. Keisuke jolted back in surprise, wondering why an Agumon and a Gabumon appeared before him.

“Woah!” Agumon said in surprise.

“There’s a human here, too?!” Gabumon said with a slight growl in his voice, still on his guard.

“Hey, you there! Don’t let 'em get away!” A voice called out to them and the owner of the voice walked towards them, He had brown hair and a red cap on.

“Heh heh… That’s a good ‘mon. I’ll take reaaal good care of you, don’t worry.” He said, mocking kindness.

“...That’s him. Youji Shiga.” Ryuji replied with a whisper.

“Alright.. do we take care of him right away?” Keisuke asked the white haired man.

“Maybe we could give him a false sense of security and then strike?” Jian suggested.

“Uh.. Yeah, sure, that’d work.” Ryuji agreed with the plan, amazed at how smart Jian was.

“Hey! You guys, over there!” Shiga said, clearly calling them over.

“Good timing! Help me capture these guys here, would you? Take a look, you don’t see programs like these around here. They’ve got to be rare ones. Do a good job and I’ll even let you have one.” He said cockily to Keisuke and Ryuji.

“Unngh…” Agumon said, out of breath most likely from running around the place.

“Eep!” Gabumon replied out of fear, covering his eyes. “All right, now... What happens next now is up to you. This is your test.” Ryuji replied to Keisuke with a slight smile. Keisuke pondered for a moment ‘They seem friendly.. and they’re scared…’ He thought back to bits and pieces when he got Jian..

“Poor things. Let ‘em go.” He replied with a smile, walking over and petting Gabumon. Agumon and Gabumon suddenly jumped in joy, knocking Keisuke on the floor. Agumon had a huge smile on his face.

“Thanks a bunch!” Gabumon replied as Keisuke got up off of the floor of Kowloon. They run away, Gabumon looking back and smiling at Keisuke.

“Hey! What’re you letting them run off for?!” Shiga shouted at the two humans.

“Damn, and I’d finally chased them down…! Hey, you guys! Get back here!” The hacker shouted at the digimon that ran away.

“Oy, you guys stay out of my way!” Shiga said to Keisuke and Ryuji angrily.

“Sorry to interrupt.” Ryuji said with indifference.

“That being said… We do have business with you.” He smirked confidently.

“And who’re you guys?” Shiga said in confusion.

“We’re Hudie” Ryuji and Keisuke said together, but the latter said it more enthusiastically.

“...The handymen! You mean to tell me I’ve caught Zaxon’s attention?!” Shiga realised suddenly.

“You’re a sharp one, aren’t you?” Ryuji chuckled. “Come to the real world, and repent your crimes that threw EDEN into disarray. Just a little message from Yuugo.” He continued.

Ryuji suddenly sent out Ryo and he tried to use Erase claw on Shiga but he sent out Golemon to block it on time. Jian joined the fight by using Petit Twister but he spun around too much he got dizzy and fell over, luckily Keisuke caught him in time.

“How does Terriermon do that?” Jian murmured dizzily as he had trouble standing up.

“Let’s just sit out of the fight for now, Jian, and let those two handle it” Keisuke said with a smile, picking up his small friend and plopping him on his shoulder.

Meanwhile Ryo had already destroyed the Golemon.

“Eeeeeek! Please, I beg of you, just don’t destroy my account!” Shiga cowered in fear.

“Don’t worry… Our rookie here has a bone to pick with you. We’ll discuss the fate of your account afterwards.” Ryuji said, crossing his arms.

“You’re the one who raided my account!” Keisuke said angrily to Shiga. “What are you talking about?! I don’t have a clue who you are, man…” He responded in confusion. “...Play dumb, and your account isn’t the only thing we’ll wreck.” Ryuji said sternly, fiercely gazing upon the hacker. “I’m telling the truth! I remember all the accounts I’ve raided, honest! Go on, take a look at my digivice if you don’t believe me!” Shiga said in alarm. “Your Digivice, huh…” Ryuji said as he took it and analysed it’s contents. “...He’s right. Doesn’t look like your account’s in here.” He said to Keisuke. Keisuke just sighed sadly in response. “Heh heh, see? What’d I tell you? Don’t you see, I’m telling the truth. So let me go, will ya?” Shiga said desperately. “...C’mon, I’m beggin’ you here!” He pleaded the to the two humans, when he got the nod of confirmation from Keisuke, he immediately made a run for it. Keisuke was so alarmed at Shiga’s attempt to flee, he just stood there. “Wait!” Ryuji called out to Shiga. “Heh heh! Too bad, so bad, chumps--” Shiga said, but suddenly got cut off as a white and black octopus-like thing slowly made it’s way through a glitchy, yellow portal. “What in the…?” He said as the Eater creeped closer and closer towards him.

“Is that… A digimon?” Ryuji thought out loud. “… No, no it’s not!” Jian said with his guard up, not knowing what it could do. The Eater began to latch on to Shiga’s leg, pulling him down. “Uwaaaaaaaah! Saave meee!!!” He screamed for help as his body began to pixelate. “That thing looks dangerous… We’d better get out of here!” Ryuji picked up Jian and ran as fast as he could. “But we have to help!” Keisuke called to him, still with Shiga and Ryo. “Leave him be! Either he’ll error out or his account will just be destroyed!” Ryuji accidentally shouted at him. Ryo picked Keisuke up and flew after Ryuji. Ryo growled something but Keisuke didn’t know what he was saying.

“Wait! You gotta be kidding me! Don’t leave me behind!” Shiga called out to them, slowly getting devoured by the Eater, Shiga screamed in terror… and then there was silence..

“...We should be safe this far away.” Ryuji said, slowing down and walking into the entrance of Under Kowloon lvl. 1 “Erika, Chitose, can you hear us?” He said, trying to call the other members of Hudie but all he got back was static.

“...S***, the Digital Waves are more jumbled than before.” Ryuji said with a sigh. “What was that thing just now?” Keisuke asked Ryuji curiously. “No clue. That was my first time seeing something like that. It wasn’t a Digimon, or malware…” Ryuji responded to his teammate.

“Something weird’s been going on in Kowloon… no, in all of EDEN lately. Hope it’s nothing serious.” Ryuji said in thought as Ryo put Keisuke down with a light growl.

“I haven’t given up yet, Ryuji! We just need to get more info.. Uh, maybe from Zaxon or something..” Keisuke said to him. “I mean, that works, too. You’ll be seeing the type of danger you faced just now almost every single day. Whether you continue or not is up to you.” Ryuji replied. Keisuke shook his head. “I’m not giving up the search for my account just yet!” He said courageously to Ryuji. “Then enough of the long face already. At least you’re not alone anymore, right?” Ryuji smiled at him. “Congrats, you passed the test. ...Just barely, but a pass is a pass. Welcome to Hudie, kid. you’re one of us now.” He responded with clapping. “Woah, really?!” Keisuke said excitedly, Ryuji just nodded with an accepting smile on his face.
“Let’s head back to the ‘shop’. Our buddies are waiting for us.” He said, logging out. Keisuke waved goodbye to Jian and Ryo, then he logged out.
