"Lucky you," she said dryly. Then, suddenly, her phone lit up. She
held up a finger, flipping the phone open and getting up. "And
that's the man of the hour now. Be back in a minute." She began
walking out.
Outside, Aleski pressed the green button and spoke into it. "Aleski
here." "We..have a problem." "What?" "There was an attack on
another widow." Aleski paled. "Again?"
Olivia got on her phone, scrolling through a bunch of pictures. A
lot of them we're pictures of her and her dad, some of her dog. She
didn't have...well, any friends, she noticed.
Aleski stayed outside for a bit longer, than finally blurted out,
"Andrei, that assistant's a Widow." "What?!" "You heard me." "Then
you'd both better get out of there. Right. Now."
Olivia watched Aleski through the window with a worried look. She
still didn't entirely trust the woman yet, but she hadn't been
crossed off yet, so she let her guard down slightly.
"There was an attack on a Widow. I have to leave, and unless you
believe in the safety of your dad I'd suggest you do the same. My
next stop's France if you want to find me."
