Jackie used her sword to cut open the cage, and used her corrupted
hands to break it open to free Lin. Then once Jackie helped her
out, she turned back to normal and saw DD's owl. "Oh, she must've
wanted it to find us." Jackie said, as she pet the owl. "Come on,
let's get out of here." Jackie said to Lin.
Then Sakura, Rose, And Jackie fell to their knees and became
unconscious. The three felt harsh pain inside the cage when they
woke up. "Jackie!" Sakura yelled in pain. "Sakura!" Jackie yelled
in pain aswell. Rose put her hands over her head. "It hurts..!" She
said in agony.
Fog woke up, and shouted. It was hot, unbearably hot. His weakness.
Fog's arms and ankles were chained by black metal, he couldn't
move. The suffocating heat choked him. Tears and sweat poured down
this face and the fatigue prevented him from transforming. He
couldn't even use his powers.
After a long time, Leo finally opened his eyes. It had been a long
time since he was imprisoned and the sound of new voices woke him
up. He rubbed his golden eyes drearily and heaved a silent yawn. He
relished his use of vision, only up until recently, they took his
blindfold off, thinking that he'd stop trying to escape. They were
wrong. His golden eyes scanned the brick wall next to him, looking
for a chink in the brick. After a short while, he found one. Bingo.
Reaching into his scuffed and dusty jeans, he pulled out a short
but sharp piece of glittering Celestial Bronze. He'd kept it for a
long time, waiting for the perfect moment to use it. Leo placed the
bronze next to the chink, lifted a dark-skinned hand and hit the
bronze so it dug into the small chink. Leo lifted his hand again
and hit the bronze.
He did this a few times, until a large crack in the grey brick
appeared. He took a deep breath, wiped some of the pale dust that
settled on the shoulders of his leather jacket and kicked the crack
with so much force, the sound of the brick cracking echoed along
the walls of his cell.
Leo did it again a couple of times and on the fourth go, the wall
broke and a large hole appeared. He peered inside it, there, laying
down was a girl? What was she doing here? Leo sighed and crawled
through the hole and walked up to her. He shook her awake.
Rose woke up to something touching her. She looked at the strange
boy with fear, as her blue eyes sparkled. "D-don't hurt me!
I-..i..." She stopped and looked at him deeply, as she blushed. Her
pink hair was under of one of her eyes, as she moved it away to see
the boy clearly.
Leo chuckled slightly. "Don't worry, I'm not gonna hurt you," he
said softly. He looked at her hair for a second, it was pink.
Unusual hair colour he thought, amused. "My name's Leo
Mizayaki, what's yours?" he asked, scanning Rose's cell for
something useful. Nothing. Leo sighed angrily. He turned back to
face Rose, his eyes glowing gold in the darkness. He sat down,
exhausted and annoyed.
"M-my name is Rose Velvet..I-its nice to meet you.." She said
shyly. She got up and dusted of her white long dress. " I seem to
be lost..I don't know where my friends are, but could you please
help me?" she said with a sweet smile.
"Rose Velvet, eh? Nice name," he said. Hearing about her imprisoned
friends angered him. "Your friends will be here, imprisoned but I
don't think I can get them out. You see those walls? They are made
of Stygian Iron," Leo said sadly. "I can't break that, but I think
sooner or later an opportunity to break out will arouse. So, just
relax in the meantime." Leo thought for a moment and clapped his
hands together. Suddenly, an orb of golden light appeared. He
placed it in his palm and light filled the whole room. "There, much
better," Leo said. He blinked and saw Rose much better in the
light. He thought she looked pretty. He smiled slightly and crossed
his legs idly. "So, Rose. Tell me a bit about yourself, how'd ya
get captured?"
Rose saw the room light up to see Leo better. He looked cute. Rose
sat down, and spoke. "Well, I was supposed to be their guide for
their mission, then before I knew it I fell, and now i'm here..I
hope they're ok.." Rose sobbed, as her sparkly tears ran down her
face.
"Guide? To slay Boreas? That's what I was sent to do, on my own..."
he said sadly. Leo saw her crying and frowned, "It's going to be
ok, don't worry," Leo smiled at her and put an arm around her to
cheer her up. He was a bit tense to do it, he didn't want to hurt
her but it was okay. Leo shivered, it was kind of chilly in the
cell. "You cold, Rose?" he asked. He sighed, he was bored.
Rose stopped crying and turned red when he wrapped his arms around
her. She held his arms to her closely. "I guess I'm a bit cold.."
She said, embarrassed.
He smiled at her red face and took his jacket off and put it around
her. "There," he said softly. He heaved a large yawn and sighed. "I
think I'm gonna hit the hay, goodnight," Leo said, exhausted. He
lay down next to her and drifted off quickly, dreaming of Rose's
long pink hair, flowing in a soft breeze. He woke up suddenly,
cheeks red with embarrassment. "J-just a nightmare," he whispered
to the confused Rose. He mentally cursed himself and went back to
sleep, now dreaming of escaping.
"Oh, ok then!" Rose said. She watched him sleep and blushed, then
thought about how they would escape. She sang to herself, to get
her mind off all of this stress.
Leo woke to the sound of singing. It was Rose. "Can't sleep?" He
guessed. Her singing was beautiful. "Nice singing. I'm hopeless at
it, my father said I had a cloth ear," he joked.
Rose startled when she heard Leo. "Oh, yeah, I can't sleep. I am
having trouble thinking about how to escape.." Then Rose's blushed
when he said her singing was good. "Oh, thank you! I tend to sing
when my head is full of stuff!" She giggled.
Rand groaned, opened his eyes, and sat up with a jolt. He was
definitely not in the Stone of Tear anymore. And where in the Light
was his shirt! He quickly found it, pulling it over his head.
Sitting cross-legged on the floor, he closed his eyes, summoning
the Flame and the Void. He put all his emotions into the Flame,
when it was all shattered by beautiful singing. It was cut short by
words that Rand heard only barely. The singing was unnerving- when
it was going, he could not seize the power. He took a deep breath
and tried to speak, but all that came out was a croak. He cleared
his throat and called out quietly.
Rose heard someone speak. It was the sound of another person! She
got up to investigate the sound. She saw a strange man on the
floor, with his legs crossed. She dusted off her dress, and shook
her hair. She thought she looked a mess. She looked at the stranger
with her blue sparkling eyes. "I'm sorry sir, I was the one
singing. Are you also lost?" She asked kindly.
He was cut off as the squeak of a mouse was heard, the flap of
wings, a crunch, then silence. An owl alighted on the floor between
them, staring at them with huge, dark, unblinking eyes. Al to human
eyes. and they weren't dark; they were purple. the owl spread its
wings, flapping furiously. It headed for the girl and started
attacking her with its beak and talons.
Suddenly, Rose's eyes turned glowing light pink as she made a force
field around the man and her, so the owl wouldn't attack
anymore.
"Anyways," She said, ignoring the bird. "What's your name?" She
smiled.
