Colt stared down at the work on his desk, biting his tongue. Yeah,
Christmas break, great, fun, home from college, but WHY was there
HOMEWORK? Just get it done, he told himself. Then you can
go annoy Nadia. Seeing as how she didn't get on break for
another couple of days, there were some possibilities there.
Granted, he couldn't do anything tooo drastic, or else he might
loose a limb or two. Scratching down a final formula, he glanced at
the clock. 3:20 already. The 18 year old stowed the paper away,
slipped on a dark blue woolen sweater, jogged down to the kitchen,
grabbed his keys, and hopped in his car, Angel bounding out after
him and leaping into the passenger seat. He grinned. It looked like
he'd have some company on the drive out. Pulling out of the
driveway, he prayed the horn was still as loud as it had been.
Living on campus right near all the necessities, he didn't have to
use it very often.
Nadia was no where near done with the pile of assignments that were
strewn about, waiting to be done. She had promised her parents that
she would actually do work instead of cramming in at the last
minute, but she had gotten distracted by yet another coding
project. She lay half-off her bed, absorbed in her phone. But, some
tiny corner of her mind remembered that Colt was supposed to be
coming home for winter break. That would be fun, considering she
had hid rubber snakes all around his room. She grinned just
thinking about it.
