Evreything had been going perfectly. The Four Gateways had been closed. The Condjon was destroyed. Morningstar had been defeated twiceover. Amoung the Avengers, Celeste had found her place. But one day, she was waiting for Tony in the labs, when she noticed one of the shards of the key glowing. She walked forward, confused, but just as Stark walked in, she touched the glass, and with a blinding light, dissapeared, finding herself..somewhere. Where, she couldn't tell yet.

Name: Grace, or “Prism” (Last name unknown)
Age: 21
Appearance: 5’0”, pointed features, heart shaped face, olive skin, dark brown hair falling just past her shoulders that is usually pulled up into a ponytail, piercing grey eyes, metal bird wings sprouting from her back (x). She wears simply a black long-sleeved turtleneck shirt with slits in the back for her wings, old black jeans, and old white sneakers, her outfit and hair looking somewhat like (x), though not the shoes or face.
Personality: Cold, reserved, and condescending, she can be difficult to get along with. She was raised as a thief by unloving, manipulative parents, and therefore has only truly ever known that life. Though rarely forming bonds, when she does, she is fiercely loyal, to the point of murderous rage in the instance that something were to happen to the other party. Trust is a near-foreign concept to her, as, at the age of 8, she ran from her criminal family, falling into the hands of an evil organization, who enticed her with kindness before turning on her and using her for experiments with the Reality Stone. She gained her powers and wings from this. Grace is very unaware of the general workings of the world, having been absorbed by the Stone during the testing and only set free seemingly randomly 12 years later.
Skill set and powers: Grace has the ability to fly with her robotic wings. She also is able to manipulate light rays and prisms, hence her alias. This latter power allows her to control her appearance in the eyes of others, as well as what those others see. However, it takes extreme concentration to maintain these illusions, as they involve very intricate workings regarding reflections, refractions, individual rays of light, and mirrors. Additionally, the prisms she controls can be turned into projectile shards.
Grace was sitting on the edge of the concrete wall running around the roof garden at the top of her apartment building. To any passerby, she looked simply to be a rather petite young woman taking a break after a long day of work. Even someone who knew her well wouldn't recognize her, however. Long, strawberry blonde hair appeared to be pinned up in a messy bun, and she looked to be wearing an oversized forest green sweatshirt and exercise shorts. The door to the roof opened behind her and a kindly looking 22 year old young man walked out, running a hand through his pale brown hair, clipped short on the sides but long, slightly curly, and messy on top, glancing around, clearly searching for something. He noticed the girl and made his way over with a grin, hopping up to sit beside her. As she turned to him, her hair suddenly and without warning changed to a cool brown, her face becoming more rounded than before, blue eyes changing to a steely grey, though her clothing remained unaltered. "Are you actually wearing shorts?" Pax Reed grinned teasingly. Grace raised an eyebrow and shook her head.

Above the apartment, there was a huge flash of light, the same one that Celeste had seen. Suddenly, she was yanked from that seemingly floating dimension, and landed on her back with a loud grunt. For a minute, she didn't move, muttering, "That was worse then training with Banner..." she muttered.

Grace whirled around, her appearance quickly reverting to how it had been previously, Pax changing to look like an older and much shorter man with blond hair. The location of the two shifted some five feet to the side, the movements of the projections matching those of Grace and Pax, though lagging behind by a second or two. The sound of metal sliding past metal could be heard just over their running footsteps, though no obvious source of it could be seen. Though the illusion she was projecting didn't copy the movement, the real Grace pressed out her palm ahead of her, an invisible pointed prism forming just in front of it as she glared warily at the green creature lying in the potato garden.

Celeste lay there for a minute or so, before sitting up. "Alright, very funny, Stark, I-" she stopped, confused. "Where am I?" She got to her feet, wary. "It looks like Earth..." She saw the illusion, and scrambled back a bit. She didn't attack immieadiently, having learned her lesson with Shield, but the rings apeared around her hands, the symbols spinning. But just as suddenly, there was a loud glitching noise, and she dropped to her knees, the magic flickiering out. "Aagh!", she groaned, the magic fading out. "What in the world?"

Pax narrowed his eyes and spoke to the alien's mind, relaying the conversation to Grace as well. This technique of not revealing their exact location worked best when they were together, as Grace on her own, if she had to speak, would immediately it give away. Pax was able to speak telepathically, should he so desire, and so could further conceal where they were actually standing. State your business, foreigner, he said, careful, as usual when wanting to retain anonymity, to not broadcast any of his emotions.

It was bad enough that Celeste's hands felt like they were on fire, but now, she was being spoken to telepathically. She grimaced. Telepathy brought up bad memories, but she pushed them down. Celeste responded out loud, her soldier's tactics kicking in, in a cool, calm voice. "I have no buisness here. I was brought here on someone else's will." These people confused her, and she was constanly recalibrating, trying to figure them out.

Once more, the door to the roof opened as Grace's neighbor, an older woman who was the type to always have cookies and lemonade on hand at any given moment, walked out. Quickly, she flicked her wrist in the direction of the alien woman laying on the ground, turning her invisible. On second thought, that probably wasn't the best action, she realized. If she spoke, Mrs. Rose would be... concerned, to say the least, to hear a voice from empty air. "Is everything alright, Pax, dear?" the woman asked, not recognizing Grace. "Something lit up outside my window." Concentrating on making her thoughts as loud as possible, as Pax could sometime sense them, provided they were obvious enough to him and the person having those thoughts actually intended for him to sense them. He seemed to understand what she wanted, and so, as a flashlight appeared behind the illusion-Pax's back, he spoke telepathically to the older woman, "No worries, ma'am, that was just my showing my friend the flashlight I bought for Grace." Seeming satisfied by this, Mrs. Rose turned to leave.

Celeste waited until the woman had left. She was used to dealing with civilians, but it took evreything in her to not speak at all. (There had been a few rather akward moments in the past, but Celeste didn't talk about those.) When she was sure that Mrs. Rose had completley left, she stood. "I want to know where I am, and how I got here," she said bluntly. She froze. Nope, the old woman had not left. Great. This was just...perfect.

Heck, Grace grimaced internally. Glad to have spread her wings earlier, she now jumped up into the air, and while that really only meant she was about 11 inches above the ground, she was able to tilt herself forwards without flapping them, causing her to glide towards near where the alien was standing, though both were still invisible. Alighting without a sound once more on the ground, she quickly removed the illusion around herself partially, appearing as the brown-haired grey-eyed girl her neighbors knew. Those were her actual physical traits, yes, but she kept her facial structure different and her clothing more typical, just to help with avoiding being recognized by anyone, should a fight she engaged in be observed. Pax sometimes said she was too cautious with all of this. "I repeat," she said, making her voice deeper to mimic that of the alien, as well as making it obvious that she was doing so on purpose. "I want to know where's the clam? And how is it hot here?" Mrs. Rose glanced back, raising an eyebrow. "Grace? When did you-?" "Oh, Mrs. Rose, hi. Sorry if I startled you, Pax, Carmen, and I are just goofing off," she cut in quickly. "Well, alright, dear, have... fun?" The woman looked quite confused, but turned around and headed down the stairs, closing the door behind her. Grace turned back to the alien, willing her to become visible again. "Why don't you tell us how you got here?" she said, crossing her arms cooly. The metallic rattle sounded again as she closed her wings, though they remained hidden from sight.

Now that was a strange reaction if Celeste had ever seen one. Whatever would cause this...girl to act like that? But it wasn't her place to question how she got rid of the human. All that mattered is that she did. Obviously, if this girl didn't know who she was, and she couldn't figure out where she was, then she wasn't in New York. But how did she explain this key aspect of her world? "I was investigating the ruins of an artifact known as the Condjon. Upon making contact with it through psychical touch, I encountered a bright light, and some unkown force that transported me here." Most of the Avengers said that Celeste talked like a stereotypical alien from a bad 90's movie, but since she refused to watch them she did so anyways, beliving that this was a natural way to explain things, and that they would understand quickly.
