I don't really know much about comics fantom etc but these are things I'd consider when taking up a new project like this..

Target audience
Current audience
What do you enjoy drawing/animating
Will it be light hearted eg pokemon or dark like batman
How much time could it take up
Continuous story or new story every time
Possible Character progression?

Obviously this is just my thoughts on the idea and you've probs already thought about these things haha
