Kikki tapped the door with her finger, and Maxwell skittered over
to that spot. The Robot tapped back, in the process inserting its
leg into the lock. "This better work. Maxwell's legs are fragile,
and Kikki worked hard on it."
Regina ran her fingers through her hair, a nervous habit she could
never quite break. Suddenly, something fell out of her hair and
onto the floor. When Regina went to pick it up, her eyes widened.
It was a bobby pin!
"Kiki!" She said excitedly. "I think we might just be able to pick
the lock after all!"
"Yeah! If I can remember what all those detective shows taught me."
Regina took the bobby pin, bending it in what she hoped was the
right way. She then inserted it into the keyhole, twisting it
around and listening for a click. "Come on..come on." She muttered.
"Let's cross our fingers and hope not." Regina replied. The bobby
pin seemed to run into Maxwell's leg a few times. When that
happened, Regina would take out the bobby pin then re-insert it
differently. She had to be getting close to the lock by now.
Or rather, she was hoping she was.
She almost screamed hearing the Faint voices near her..She asked
the speaker in hope that it would reply "Hey Up there..there are
other people who you have captured against their will ? "
