Based on an RP I did using this girl She's a little bit younger in this story though, about 14-15

Not a sound came from her lips as she watched it. Laying face down on the ground, her chin resting on her hands. Navya hardly even blinked as she stared intently at the glowing object before her, the cracks in it seemingly unfazing her. Every so often, the steady silence would be interrupted by the loud squawks of the tiny creature within the egg, determined to make its presence known to the world before it even came into it. Navya chewed on her lip nervously.

"Come on, why is it taking so long?" She murmured. The unborn animal softly chirped in response, unaware that its owner did not speak bird. Navya sighed. How much she wished she could just pluck the pieces of shell off the little creature herself. However, the last thing she wanted to do was defy nature, no matter how much strain it put on her.

It felt like days had gone by, but finally, the baby phoenix reared his face to the world around it. Exhausted from his efforts, the little fledgling tumbled onto the forest floor, eyes still closed. Navya was quick yet careful in wrapping the fragile animal up in her cloak, hoping to accelerate the drying process. Gently, she held him up, his body being no bigger than her palm. She smiled a little as the phoenix opened his tiny beak to yawn, his eyes just barely opening.

"Now," Navya began. "What to name you. Agni? Vermilion? Sol-" he let out a series of rather loud chirps at that, and Navya giggled.

"Alright, Sol it is then."
