Joy raced through the forest feeling the wind in her fur. It felt
almost as good as the first time she caught a mouse. She skidded to
a halt as she almost toppled over the edge of a gorge.
“In am too!” Joy said changing into a cat missing an eye. “I prefer
cats.” She said changing back to the previous cat. “What do you
prefer?” She asked padding in a circle and laying down on a dry
patch of grass
“Yeah, I accidentally almost fell into the gorge!” She said over
the rushing water at the bottom of the gorge. “I just like to feel
the wind in my fur!” She said happily flicking her tail.
Joy fluffed up her fur to lay it back down slowly. She got up and
went to lay down in a patch of sunlight. “Ahhhhhh... the sunlight
feels good on my fur.” She said as the sun hit her white fur making
it a blinding white.
“I do. It feels so good... and warm...” she said dozing off. She
snapped awake. “Yeah I have humans who feed me. But sometimes I
catch my own food. I like to keep my skills sharp. I need to
remember how to hunt for myself if the humans stop feeding me. And
I need to know how to defend myself, so I made myself a little camp
in these woods.” Joy explained hopping off the sun warmed rock.
