Angie kept training until she could hardly stand.
Alex starts fastly shooting her arrows and getting a bullseye every time. She starts carving more arrows out of stone.

Sammy nods. "Thanks." He carefully adjusts the microscope and sample. "Meg, I want you to turn on that computer. Next to it is a small white device. Hand it to me, will you?"


One of the other trainers noticed Angie. "Hey, take a break. You look like you're going to puke."

“Okay.” Angie said as she sat down beneath a tree.
Alex pulled her mask down. “Hey, what can I do to help? I’ve already mastered my bow and arrow.” She said plucking her arrows out of the target she made.

Lawernce grinned. "That's the spirit! Now, direct your gaze over there." He pointed to a large wooden statue shaped like a snarling bear with long twisted horns and unnaturally sharp teeth. "In a minute, that statue is going to come charging at you. I want to see how you fend it off. Since you are so eager, Beta, you'll go first."

The man with the scar pointed to one of two stations. "We're changing shifts. You're up next."

Alex took her bow and arrow And walked to the next station. She pulled out her knife and started to draw again. She drew herself in the abandoned building.

This time, Sammy only responds with a nod. He leans over the microscope, typing furiously into the device. "I'll let you know when I need you, Meg. Why don't you go explore?"

Lawernce pulled out a small device and pressed a button. The bear's eyes flared up with a blue light as it charged towards Beta, letting out a deafening roar. Mud and swamp grass flew everywhere as it dug its claws into the soft ground. "Be careful Beta!" Mally called, though she could barely be heard over the bear's roars.

Regina giggled. "Looks like I beat you to the punch with that, so I won't repeat myself." She packed her throwing knives away for the moment. She was a little disappointed that she didn't get to show her new friends her tricks, but hey, there was always next time!

Juanita glanced up at Goliath, and getting no response, she beckoned for them to follow her towards a huge rocky cave. "Welcome to your training area!"
Sammy did not take his eyes off the tiny screen. "When an animal becomes a mutant, it gains a hormone that when coming in contact with human scent releases a signal to the brain, causing it to go into what we call BRM, or Blind Rage Mode. It loses all sentity and acts like a rage machine, tearing apart anything in it's path."

*Beta had heard her as he jumped out of the way slashing his sword over the bears eye. He took out his dagger and threw it into the bear's chest*

The sword left a deep cut but the bear had moved enough that it was just above its eye. It jumped back, the dagger barely missing it. It tucked its head in like a goat and rammed into Beta, shoving him down with its paws.

*As he was shoved down he rammed the sword into the bear's chest. He grabbed his dagger and stabbed the bear's paws to get free*

The sword met its mark, and the bear roared in pain. It stumbled back, its eyes flickering. Mally had an idea. "Beta! Go for the eyes! That's where it's most vulnerable!" she shouted.

The trainer shrugged. "Maybe you can join the group that's taking on the swamp snakes. They're leaving soon though."
