*He nuzzled her* My family? It was only me and my mother. I never knew my dad. My mother was mostly always out trying to keep us safe. She's very kind. I stint get much affection from her though. Other than her I don't know if I have other family

No *He kept her hand on his cheek* I was born there. Sometime after my dad built the house, he brought my mother there to keep us safe. There were other vampires who wanted him dead. They'd make sure nobody that was family or that was around and saw wouldn't survive. My mother explained everything once I grew old enough to understand
