Blinking a few times, Crystal slowly reached out to pick up the
creature. She didn't know why, but something seemed off about it. A
stirring feeling in her gut, telling her it was more than it
appeared.
I didn't either *He looked around* I don't know who to ask though
*He felt nervous to ask someone. He had the thought someone might
treat him the way humans normally did*
Finnie could tell he was feeling nervous, so she patted his
shoulder. "Hey, don't worry. I'm right here, okay?" she said,
resting her head on his shoulder.
I hope so *He went over to Crystal as he held Finnie a little
tighter but gentle* Do- do you know how to get to the roof? *His
eyes went to the axolotl she was holding*
Crystal snapped her head towards the pair, a little taken aback by
the sudden voice.
"Oh, uh, yeah! I think there's like a staircase or something
iniside that leads up to it." She jabbed a thumb towards the doors.
"I passed by it on my way out here."
Scrappy suddenly started lightly pecking at his owner's leg,
letting out a loud squawk every now and then, She rolled her eyes,
before picking the vulture up and setting him in her lap.
"Sorry about his noisiness. He gets whiny whenever the attention is
off of him for more than five minutes."
Crystal cracked a smile "Oh don't worry, Scrappy's way too lazy to
try anything like that. Aren't 'cha boy?" She scratched the top of
his head, and he chirped in satisfaction. "You can pet him, if you
want. He doesn't bite."
It's alright *He smiled* It's nice to meet you both too. He's
adorable *He wrapped Finnies legs around him tight so he could put
his hand to the vulture*
