Finnie pointed up at the sky. "Back when I was really little and I
missed my parents, I would find a clear spot and try and find
shapes in the clouds and pretend that we were really good friends.
Like, there." She pointed to a cloud shaped like a squirrel.
"Little Me would make up stories about that Squirrel cloud where we
went on adventures together."
*He looked up at the sky where she was pointing seeing the squirrel
shaped cloud. He felt she had been deeply lonely. He was going to
make sure she had as much fun as possible. He had been lonely too*
You can think of me as that squirrel shaped cloud. Except I won't
disappear
Finnie smiled. "I don't mind. I don't get the chance to hang out
with non-humans who aren't trying to kill me and/or eat me. I want
that to last forever."
*He held on to her gently rubbing her back soothingly. He would be
wherever she wanted him and would always be with her. Having her
three with him meant everything to him. He wanted this moment to
last forever*
Finnie closed her eyes and smiled. "Thank you." That was all she
needed to hear to know that there was someone else. Someone who
cared for her in a way no one else had.
You're welcome. I should thank you though *He gently layed her head
on his chest. He had never had anyone else care. He felt they could
have a strong bond together. He would do anything to stay by her
side*
Eventually, Finnie fell asleep. She sat, eyes closed and head
leaning against Silver's shoulder as she dreamed about something,
it wasn't very clear what, but it was something.
A few hours later, Finnie woke up. "Phew, that was the most sleep
I'd gotten in years." She realized that Silver was still asleep,
but decided not to wake him. He looked so peaceful asleep like
that. So, she simply watched the clouds drifting by.
