"When will I have company? I'll never know! Can I turn my food into a machine? Maybe." Chrono looked at his food, imagined what he wanted, and his box started glowing. Then, beams of light flew from the box and into the plate. The food turned into a living pile of glop with a fork for an arm. "Oh foody buddy, wanna play? BWAHAHAHA!!!" Chrono shouted. Then his food bro started poking around looking for a way out of the strange white room. "I'll name you... Freedom!" Chrono said to the food man. "Freeeeeeeeeedoooommm!" The food man said.

"Sis..." She whispered. She then noticed Moon was awake, talking to the boy from earlier.

Moon got up and walked over "Yea, Chris has a good plan to get us out of here" she whispered to Opal as her bear wiggled in her arms "Be quiet Midnight!" She whispered to her bearm and it stopped moving at once

He grabbed his bag of the other nightmares as plushies, standing on the bed and crawling into the vent. He reached his hand out so he could help them up.

Opal looked at him, then turned to look back at Carrie. A sudden sinking feeling filled her chest. She walked away, coming to stand Carrie.

Opal looked down. Something just..wasn't right. She wanted to get back to her family, but leaving all those other kids behind, most of whom seemed young than her, felt wrong to her.

Chris and Moon suddenly fell onto the mud next to Opal and Carrie. He was holding the black bear.

''Follow me. I know a place we can stay for a bit.''

He started waking up to the highway, walking up alongside it. He arrived at an underground subway that he ran into.

He ran accross the dark tunnel, out of a wide opening and on the other side of a highway. They were infront of an academy.
