*The sun was almost asleep, barely visible on the horizon. The sky was filled with a dark sunset, slowly fading into complete darkness.* She was getting close to home. She could see the road from here, a small sliver of gray against the dark, but colorful, landscape of flowers. She ran faster, wanting to get home to her sister.

Title: Series 2, Chapter 1
I walk a lonely road, the only one that I have ever known. Don’t know where it goes, but it’s home to me, and I walk alone.
Amani walked the sidewalk right outside his house, not too far from the city. He was going to see a friend today, someone he hadn’t seen in quite a while. The slight breeze that flew by, the smell of the fresh blooms, the crunch of the pavement under his feet, it was all very familiar to him. Even the city was familiar, even though it seemed just like another world. Was that really what it was? Was the city a completely different world from the suburbs? He stopped, standing completely still on the concrete. He was overthinking it... He shouldn’t be think about silly stuff like that, but instead think of important things. He was going insane... He sighed and continued forwards, his sights on the tall buildings ahead.

A little while later, just as he was about to knock on his friend’s door, his phone began to ring. He walked a little bit away from the door and took the call. “Hello?” He answered. “Hey... There’s something I forgot to tell you Amani...” Laylea’s voice spoke softly on the other end. “What is it...?” It seemed somewhat urgent, making him a bit worried. “Have you noticed anything strange lately? Such as unusual people doing unusual things? Or have you just gotten a really bad feeling...” she spoke softly. Amani paused. What kind of a question was that? Why was she even asking it? How did she even know? “U-uh...” he muttered. “Y-yeah... I guess so... What about it...?” He asked, his voice had the smallest hint of fear in it. “Alright... Then that means we are the only ones that are safe...” Her voice... it sounded ominous... Amani’s eyes widened. What did she mean by that?!? “There have been these things that are running around... They are not only a danger to everyone, but they can quickly become everyone too... They are an infection in society, one that can’t be stopped unless one of us kills them...” she talked slowly and quietly, but it was almost as if she was right in his ear... “W-what in the world...?” He dropped his phones and stared at the horizon, terrified and confused. Maybe he should just knock on the door and try to forget about that...
Title: Series 2, Chapter 5
After a minute or two. Itaro came back with a small plate of pretzel-looking snacks. He set them down on the table before sitting down himself. “Come on! Try it!” Itaro encouraged as he took a bite of Amani’s treat. Reluctantly, he took a bite. It tasted good at first but it started to taste worse and worse. He began coughing... Something wasn’t right with it... Was it poisoned?! “W-what.. the h-hell!” He barely managed to get out in between his coughs. That warning Laylea gave... about the strange feelings he had... He moved his hand to his pocket to be as subtle as possible. Suddenly, he felt the impact of a punch being thrown at him. He didn’t even know where due to how quick that pain spread. He slowly opened his eyes, just to see a dark figure standing over him. He knew that it was saying something, but it was so muffled and soft... With the last bit of his strength, he got out his pocket knife and thrust it into the figure. He didn’t care if he was going to die here due to some poison... The figure fell with a thud and his vision turned black
