Do pokemon chains really affect the shiny chance? I know it does in actual pokemon but not sure about pokeheroes....

When a shiny chain hits around 45, it's reached the maximum chance of getting a shiny. So basically, the more you chain, the higher it gets until it reaches the maximum, hope this helped!

But that is if you have PokeRadar, or else chaining Pokemon doesn’t affect shiny chain. Beside, PokeRadar chain must be 40 to reach max chance and the chance is increased by dropping 100 pd in the fountain only if the chain is less than 40 and if you’re lucky :)
