I was at Rowan's Lab and the Ditto there was shiny, and when I interacted with it, it just disappeared. What does that mean?

The Ditto will randomly turn to the Shiny one. If you click it, sometimes you'll get a "Hihihi" message which can reward you with a Shiny Ditto Plushie, though not always.
